@SOUNDSofINTELLIGENCE no no, drumstep it's not only half tempo, drumstep is mixed with dnb in some parts and sometimes mix with metal drumrolls, it's a style hear TommyLee+Figure - PoundsofBlood, Rednek - im not skrillex (drumstep mix) /watch?v=NEiM567NwYU =)
jungle is drum and bass. jugle isnt set aside in anyway, Jungle is jungle is drum and bass heres somethingto explaine... first breakbeat - dnb (old jungle) - dnb diff genre's- dubstep came from jump up / wobble drum and bass and then became something in itself.
@SmashedHerPasty I know its old Drum and Bass. But it has that nineties jungly vibe that modern Drum and Bass just doesn't have today.. I would call it a sub genre... But it isn't since it was a forerunner of Drum and Bass. Names like Jungle, techstep, Jump UP are all used to generalise a certain type of sound within a genre... its not to separate them as such
i'm a jungalist through and through. I like some drum and bass but usually it's the jungly stuff (obviously), i find it hard to get on board with the dubstep, some is palatable and i can see why people like it but for the most part it's not for me
All dubstep has always got the same sort of sound behind it Drum and Bass is the fuckin nuts. Dont get me wrong there are some nutty Dubstep tunes then they get remixed by one the DnB gods and WOOOOOF you got a monster tune!!!!
great mix, you're one of the few people I know who can tell the difference between liquid and intelligent. I prefer dnb and jungle over dubstep too, but in the end there's lots of good tracks in both genres, new tracks aswell as classics.
@SOUNDSofINTELLIGENCE What do you mean "All the American kids jumping on it..." What do you have against american people?? Besides, Can't you just like the music you like? Why do you have to not like it just because other people like it?
@SOUNDSofINTELLIGENCE I didn't know there was a specific night on which you could listen to dubstep. Regardless, I've been a hardcore fan since AT LEAST (if not before) 2005. Does it really matter how long I've listened to it or what "night" I listen to it? I still think you should answer my first question instead of avoiding it
@SOUNDSofINTELLIGENCE That's what exists purely in my diet! Well, along side with detroit techno and goa trance. Not much room for drum and bass or dubstep however, i believe 'tis best that way.
i loved jungle after playing Ape Escape on PS1 shits bananas.
