Bike tracks are tighter and more twisty for a reason. the turning circle of a bike is much less. cars win on any terrain other than race quality tarmac. in Fact go do some research on cornering abilty and you will find that even though a car has more rubber and more downforce to enable more g force to be used in turns.......

Bikes can take a tighter racing line (admittedly not by much) and tey also have the massive advantage of being able to lean which increases corner speed through banked turns massively. As for bikes being more fun. I own a car and my wife does. I also own 3 bikes. I drive a honda crx( I love cars) you cannot compare the two but i promise you this. most fighter pilots own sportsbikes so they can get thier fix whilst off duty ;)
@jfmn24 they take less area because they arent as wide lol, but you cant do a 30 foot skid pad as fast on a bike as you can in a car. bikes are good for long sweeping corners, on any thing close to 90 degrees or a hairpin turn the car wins...just watch the ariel atom vs the bmw 1000rr, bike takes the straights, car takes braking and corners, and i agree bikes are fun because you can feel the wind, a car is more fun around a track, especially an open wheel one :p

It takes a supremly skilled indavidual to make a bike work to its desighn. Shmitz on You Tube with her M5 Ring Taxi is a prime example..

Proof of said ridiculousness being worth it: the guy was reacting to the speed of the car, not the bike. Sure, it's common that a Hayabusa can achieve the same accelerations as the best of the tuned cars, but that's no big deal.
By getting a viper to go the same speed, you get equal numbers in performance + the added cool factor of getting something so far out of bounds of the norm. It's the same kind of reason why you see a video running around YouTube of a VW bus beating Porsches.
The people who use numbers and say "Therefore, bikes > cars" don't understand why people are motivated to put the effort into tuning a car to do what a bike can do. There are people out there who do it, so clearly there are people who think "cars > bikes" and their reasons are just as valid. There's a certain ridiculousness that makes it so entertaining to haul a several ton vehicle through similar accelerations to a vehicle 1/10th the weight.

Well what you are all forgetting is that a 200 hp bike i think weighign at 600 lbs. you would have to do the math first to even compart a race. about 2000 lb car with around 800 Hp. But then through in the supercharger that more power for weight. so when they are both high RMP the car will be gettign more power and its alot bigger motor. food for thought.

oh come on. bikes have incredible torque, they're really starting off at 75mph. and the Viper is just winning, and it doesn't get much more fair than a straight line.

Well what you are all forgetting is that a 200 hp bike i think weighign at 600 lbs. you would have to do the math first to even compart a race. about 2000 lb car with around 800 Hp. But then through in the supercharger that more power for weight. so when they are both high RMP the car will be gettign more power and its alot bigger motor. food for thought.
