I am not angry at soldiers, I am angry at the greedy corporations that have brainwashed the soldiers into thinking this war is for humanitarian reasons rather than resources and power. No I will not support you all the way, because I do not support the corporate dictatorship and its use of my brothers and sisters as canon fodder for their corporate greed.
@PackOfPeterJackson Very well said my friend.I find it sad that the military are victims yet support those who are willing to sacrifice them for $.Eisenhower warned of the power of the military industrial complex and sadly many didn't listen.Conservative Henry Kissinger once said "the military are stupid pawns used to enforce foreign policy ".No one did more for the direct benefit of the military fighting men and women then the late T. Kennedy who was most certainly a liberal
"Support the troops!" How? what does that mean? It doesn't mean anything. Do you support the troops? Probably not, you don't bake cookies for them and send them to iraq do you?
What does supporting the troops mean? Its propaganda speech. Buzzwords!
If i want to support the troops i have to support the war? If i don't support the war then by your logic i don't support the troops and if i don't support the troops then what? I'm unamerican? A traitor? Unpatriotic? I thought this was America.
I'm not allowed to have some individuality? What is this north Korea? Do the troops go to war for our freedom, spill their blood, and die in agony so that here at home we can be called unpatriotic and unamerican for having an opinion? If i don't believe that a war is worth losing American lives over then I am a bad guy, and if i voice my opinion i am called unpatriotic. Well god bless America...
I can tell that people are going to argue about both wars for years...There is no reason to anymore. The Iraq war is over. I do have to agree with hanley745. Americans would have a totally different perspective if there was a war at home. None of that matters now...Mistake or not it's history now. All of this fighting on the internet is how more wars are going to be started...
@SEALxGamerz -Certainly people are going to argue about the wars of the last few yrs. and they should. We were told a pack of lies by Dubya's administration. When we stop talking about it is when it can happen again. You do not learn by repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
@urparanoia Iraq violated U.N. ceasefire agreements. Especially when it came to shooting at American aircraft. They also possesed Mustard gas,(which is classified as a WMD) and several other non-nuclear weapons that they weren't allowed to have. Plus If you lived under Saddam Hussein you would be very sad....(That is just my humble opinion. Thank you for respectfully stating yours instead of viciously attacking me.)
@SEALxGamerz I agree what you said but you do need to reconsider this: While Saddam Hussein's regime was no doubt far brutal, elimating his regime would make things worse or at the same level as his regime.
George Bush Sr stated in the 1990s that going into Baghdad and eliminating Saddam Hussein's regime would be a disaster. It would cause instability and would get U.S. troops bogged down in Iraq for many years getting caught in the religious civil war between factions in Iraq backed by Iran.
@SEALxGamerz -And every excuse given by Dubya's administration to invade the sovereign nation of Iraq has been proven to be false. Some of the excuses were lies that were proven to be such prior to the invasion. The claim of a IAEA report stating Iraq had a nuke was refuted prior to the invasion when a CONSERVATIVE new reporter called the IAEA to get the full story only to find no such report exists. What does my being "very sad" if I lived under Saddam have to do with anything ?
@SEALxGamerz -Citizens of Sierra Leone were "sad" when they were asked if they wanted short or long sleeves prior to their hands or arms being cut off but we did nothing. Invading Iraq was certainly not for humanitarian reasons as we all know. As for the "non nuclear" weapons you refer to you should remember that much of their chemical weapons came from the U.S. when they were the enemy of our enemy, Iran. We had no problem with them having such weapons at that time .
@SEALxGamerz -As for me "viciously attacking " you I am not sure what you mean. Are you are making reference to my response to those on this venue who try to convince others that white is black and black is white ? If people choose to make comments on a public forum which are not true or reality based then they should not be surprised when others disagree. The Iraq war is a perfect example of what happens when small minded individuals ignore fact and blindly follow their leaders
its on the other side of the world and being fought on the other side of the war so it doesn't have to be on this side of the world...your perspective would be totally different if this war was fought in our streets
Unless you know this, then Why the FUCK do you want taxpayers money to go to fireworks and support in a country on the other side of the world so that American troops can continue dying there.
The war was and will be remembered as one of the worst mistakes in American history, what's the POINT of the war!?
It's not like the Biggest empire on this Earth had problems finding ONE guy, and had to send 100.000 guys during 10 years to get him.
Fuck "troops", I support human beings. I don't support rank. I don't support the boots. I don't support the uniforms. But, I do support some of the people wearing them..
liberal = liberty , mabie we should change the statues name? statue of censorship mabie, boy you die for censorship, force banking, torture, subversion, and on and on....
Ugh. Misusing the troops is not support of them. If you truly support your child do you let them get themselves killed? Support and allowing someone to be wasted is not the same thing. A well used military would be a great thing. When you see someone you support being misused it is your responsibility to say something.
Actually, China supports the troops. That's where we get the money to buy them food and bullets. America is broke. Good thing China is loaning us all that money. We can make it easer for little islamic girls to get an education. In schools that teach America is the devil. Amesome! Thumbs up for China!!
Um, yeah, fuck the Iraq War. I'll support the troops in seeing that they get good health care, benefits, and education. Otherwise, fuck off if you want me to support your bullshit invasion and the terrible consequences it has brought all of us. You can go fuck yourselves with your M-16's for all I care.
How about you troops actually support us instead of asking us to give up our economic well-being and civil rights so you can go off and play Rambo in the Middle East?
that's strange...I'm a vet and a liberal. Maybe those on the right should support the military by questioning the leadership that gets us into bs wars instead of blindly following those on the right who like to hide behind the flag. Just putting a sticker on your car doesn't fucking count. I'm a liberal and I love this country just as much as anyone else...If you believe that you have to be a republican to love the military or this country...I you are a fucking moron.
Horseshit. I'm a liberal, and my support for the armed forces is unconditional. I am also a big fan of the second amendment. If anyone thinks that everyone, or even a significant percentage of people are actually that black-and-white, then I think they are out of touch with reality.
The fact is that the Iraq war was the worst possible move. It had nothing to do with the troops or how they fought. I am not so naive to think that because somebody dies for something, it makes it "right".
@tattat44 -Very well said my friend. The sad thing about our military is that many are kids.Sure they see blood and guts but they're nothing more then tools that make profits for wall street/military industrial complex. I'm also a lib and I support the troops and would like to see them all come home safely but to support a war based on lies is ridiculous. It's sad to see them support a political party that doesn't care if they live or die.
@tattat44 but unless you actually serve and been there...there is no way for you to actually know why anyone is actually there...i agree its naive to think someone dies for something and its automatically the right cause...but it is also naive to think that you can possibly understand what the military is doing or what they sacrifice so that all of you can sit here and comment on videos like this the way you do...i do disagree that liberals dont support...they do..whole heartedly
I have had many relatives in the military. My great uncle was mustard gassed in ww1, another uncle was a sniper in vietnam, he lead his platoon back to friendly territory when their Lieutenant abandoned them (Socked him in the mouth when he got back, demoted, no pay cut, lol.). My Grandfather disarmed German chemical weapons in ww2. I would like to think that I have some understanding of what it is like, otherwise I could not fulfill my duty as an informed citizen.
@tattat44 that is a different case my friend...but how many citizens actually have that background...and actually know anything about that background if they have it...ive had people serve for generations too...as far back as the french and indian war...my great uncle died on the beaches of normandy...im not saying every citizen doesnt know...but the vast majority make assumptions with no factual backing what so ever and it upsets the men and women who serve to protect the american people
@hanley745 -What does serving have to do with knowing reasons why we're at war? This comment section is full of vets who support those who sent them to Iraq based on lies. Not one of the original reasons to go to war was proven to be true. This is a subject repubs avoid like the plague.Non of this has anything to do with what our fathers or grandfathers did in the past.I don't support unnecessary wars based on lies but I do care about our troops and I'm liberal.Your comments are absurd
@tattat44 you obviously just looked at the title and you didn't watch the video. You are saying that you dont support the war and that is what gets the soldiers pissed off.
No, I don't support draining trillions of dollars that could be going to build up our strength at home. That does not mean that I didn't support doing as much as we could with the timetable we had, but staying longer is not going to solve anything.
most of the peeps who fought in ww-2-korea-vietnam were democrates you fuckin asshole repubtards, it wuz the rich republican kids who got the draft deferments like yer suck ass dick head cheny & rush limpballs to name just a few.
Thanks to the USA troops for their dedication in the easy and the hardest of times for you are to be commended for your bravery and your sacrifice and may God be with you always and may God watch over you always!
You men need to learn that Fox news is a damn lie! Learn it now! It is a propoganda machine! Listen to MSNBC where the truth is told! You may not like some sources of the truth but at least it is the truth!
What a load of crap, I am a 22 year Vet of the Army with 4 deployments to Iraq and Afghan, my son's are BOTH in the US Army Reserve serving the USA with honnor, BUT I AM A LIBERAL and have never supported the war in Iraq, now dare to tell me I dont support the troops. That is another tea-bagger lie.
The only thing I'm ashamed of is that by de facto I had to fight for the Liberal trash heep and 90% of the Ron Paul supporters in this country. They're a bunch of ungrateful and ignorant turds that need to pack up their stuff and move to Iraq or Afghanistan. I've never understood why they hate us fighting the wars so much. They don't have to fight, no one serving is in because they have to be (we know the risk when we sign up), we free oppressed people, and millions of jobs are created. Win-Win.
@brennan2185 -Do you realize the invasion of Iraq was based on lies and the Taliban in Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11? You're forgetting how many civilians died in the 2 wars and the tax payers of this country who are paying the bills have every right to speak their mind. I am afraid of where you are going when you speak of "millions of jobs are created" but please explain your comment.Your forgetting it was a conserve president who sent you to war to die for a pack of lies
@urparanoia "To try to explain truth to him who loves it not is but to give him more plentiful material for misinterpretation. How frequently it is brought to our attention that nothing good can be done if the will is wrong." In other words your irrational. You believe in baseless conspiracy theories and worship unhealthy controversy, why would I waste my time trying to convince you your wrong? If you believe such things HOW could I convince you your wrong? "Do not throw your pearls to pigs."
@brennan2185 -Still no answers. A conspiracy theory only is such when there is no proof. Once there is proof it becomes a possibility. Don't know what you are referring to when you speak of such but your not helping your case by making statements and then avoiding questions that may result. But if that is all you have it is no surprise. Your statement to which I responded shows how little you know about libs. Do yourself a favor and research the effort of T.Kennedy to help the troops
@brennan2185 -You are repeating what you have been told but what you have been told may not be completely true. Certainly there are libs who do not support the troops but personally I know of none. Sending you off to war based on lies is not supporting you. Open your mind and use common sense my friend. It was conservative H. Kissinger who said "military men are stupid pawns used to enforce foreign policy" and a conservative president who sent the military to Iraq based on lies
@urparanoia: Remember one thing: It's not reality unless it's shared. I can tell you the truth about Iraq because I've been to Iraq. I basically lived outside the wire. I interacted with the people and fought alongside them. I also came home and seen how the media slanted EVERYTHING we were doing and what was happening. No one is going to pull the wool over my eyes because I was living out what they could only talk about and what you could only hear. You will not know more than they want you to
@brennan2185 -"It's not reality unless it's shared".
Surely you can see the many ways in which that statement is flawed. The point was that the reasons for going to Iraq by Dubya and his administration were lies. It doesn't matter what you did in Iraq or where you were. No one is saying that you did not see what you claim. What I am saying is that ALL of the reasons for going to Iraq were lies and at this point repubs don't want to talk about it. Take the IAEA report for instance
@brennan2185 -Prior to the invasion Dubya cited a IAEA report 4-5 yrs prior to that time which said that within 6 months Iraq would have a nuke. Dubya claimed that in itself was enough reason to invade. A CONSERVATIVE news reporter called the IAEA and found no such report was written. What about the "yellow cake" incident where the administration claimed Iraq tried to purchase it and when the husband of a CIA agent sent to investigate disagreed repubs retaliated against his wife ?
@brennan2185 -And then there was Colin Powell, one of the most trusted individuals of the administration who they made a fool of by giving him false information which he passed on to congress and the nation. Powell almost immediately announced his resignation but was convinced to stay on to save face until Dubya's 1st term came to a end. Then there was the false info from the source known as "curve ball", the claim of drones that could carry bio and chem. weapons to our shores
@brennan2185 -The drones had a range limit of 300 miles or so. Do I need to continue ? These are the lies and had nothing to do with the media. I realize that repubs love to make the claim that the media is "a liberal media" which they play both ways. The plan is to claim anything said by the media which is unfavorable to repubs is because of their bias. Repubs also work it the other way when the media says something favorable claiming that "even the liberal media agrees".
@brennan2185 -If the media is liberal why did they stop covering anti war protests prior to the Iraq invasion? Why has Occupy Wall Street coverage stopped? Why did reporters apologize when the war turned sour and admit they buried stories that may have given the American people a better idea of what was really going on while putting the pro war stories on the front page of the Washington Post? Why, because there is no media bias. You were used, lied to and u support those who used u
@urparanoia: How can someone lie to me about what I lived through, what I witnessed first-hand- both the war and the media bias? That would be like me telling you what did or didn't happen to you as a child. You are the only one going off what your idiot box is telling you. How can you say that I am wrong when you say the media doesn't lie that there is no bias? I'm the one that's wrong when your the one who believes everything they are sold? Your illogical and irrational.
@brennan2185 -Now your being silly.THINK about MY comments.None of what I said has anything to do with what you or any member of the military saw in Iraq. You are talking about the situation on the ground in Iraq while I speak of the lies of the Bush administration.Do you have a learning disability?Seriously, your comments appear as though you're responding to comments that were made by someone other then myself. The lies are fact. You can't rewrite history because you don't like it.
@urparanoia Can you tell me where Saddam got the chemical and biological weapons he used on the Kurds and the Iranians? Can you tell me why blue-prints of security operations in international airports in the US and in Europe were found in houses in Iraq that the National Geographic Channel has documented? Can you tell me why Israel bombed a nuclear weapons facility that Saddam admitted to and said he would build again? Can you tell me why I personally found Geiger meters in weapons caches?...
@urparanoia: Can you tell me how we dropped two one-hundred pound bombs on Al-Zarqawi's head, the same guy who was UBL's right hand man and was filmed on live tv standing next to him on Sept. 11, 2001 when they were celebrating the massacre of 3000 innocent people? Can you explain the videos that I seen of Saddam and his sons slamming babies against walls in interrogation cells? Can you explain the mass murder and disappearance of hundreds of thousands of innocent people? ...
@brennan2185 -Saddam got chem and bio weapons from the U.S. when he was the enemy of our enemy Iran-that's no secret.Your avoiding my questions and changing the subject. We're not talking about what Saddam did to his people we're talking about reasons Dubya gave us for going to war, many of which I CLEARLY STATED !You can avoid the questions and attempt to change the subject but it does nothing for your argument other then show your immaturity.Such responses are typical of u people
@brennan2185 -Your avoid answering my questions and only respond with questions that have NOTHING to do with anything I said.I get such answers from the military on a regular basis. You appear to suffer from a Stockholm type syndrome where you defend those who use you.You can argue fact but that's not what you have done.If the real goal was to defend the people of Iraq from their leader why were we given other reasons for going to war?Why didn't we defend the people of Sierra Leone ?
@brennan2185 -The reason I said "you can't re write history because you don't like it " should be obvious. You deny what has been proven as fact many yrs ago, the lies that led to the invasion of Iraq. You're typical of the examples I point to when I speak of what is wrong with this country which is ignorance or our voting public. Many have forgotten or don't want to remember the lies that we were told prior to the invasion of Iraq just as many have no idea what caused the fin. crisis
@brennan2185 -Do you remember when Al Greenspan admitted to congress in 2008 that "the conservative ideology I have believed in for decades is flawed and caused the financial meltdown"?He went on to say that "the conserves ideology that business can self regulate has been proven to be wrong. Bankers could not be trusted to do right by their customers, got greedy and simply did not use good business practice". They wrote liars loans and were paid for the volume of loans written.
@brennan2185 -Do you understand OTC Derivatives, how Greenspan fought the regulation of such while dem. Wesley Born warned congress that such instruments could cause a meltdown which happened nearly 10 yrs to the day after her warnings? Have you actually read the CRA which repubs claim caused the meltdown even after the bi partisan FCIC committee found the CRA was not the problem? In all of these situations people acted as you and ignored facts and supported those who were to blame
@brennan2185 -You comments are those of ignorance, a attempt to save face when there is no need. You believed what you were told as many young and older people alike did. You were used and somehow you feel that if you claim the reasons given to citizens of this country to go to war were really not the reasons at all then you will not appear as if you were victims, naive or whatever silly thought you had. Wake up and stop being the enablers for what is wrong with this country !
@urparanoia: You know what I believe? You just sit behind your computer screen and imagine up conspiracy theories. Some people live their entire life not knowing if they made a difference in the world; veterans don't have that problem. I didn't fight for you or people like you, nor do I lord it over anyone for whom I did fight. I willingly fought for something bigger than myself; a righteous cause. You can't deny it, you never will be able to. You can only contort it, spin it, and lie about it.
@brennan2185 -Obviously you are prone to making assumptions without basis. You volunteered to serve your country with what I believe to be the best of intentions but were duped into believing we were in imminent danger. Not all vets are afraid to face the truth such as the Vets Against the Iraq War.You're young and young people have a tendency to jump before thinking. If you choose to deny well established fact and protect those who didn't care if you live or die that's your right
@brennan2185 -Your tendency to call anything you don't know, understand, or want to be true a conspiracy theory only serves to show how little you know of the world around you.I find it disturbing that I speak of well established fact and you're completely oblivious to it.Open your eyes and ears, none of this is a secret. What you are doing is the equivalent of claiming the earth is flat when nearly everyone else knows the difference.Your denial only serves to perpetuate our problems
@urparanoia Tell me something. How many of these countries have you been to? How many intelligence reports have you read; either foreign or from the United States? What information have you laid hands on? How many terrorists have you talked to? What do you base your assumptions on? Please enlighten all of us dummies out there who have done all of the aforementioned and more. LOL. Like I said before...
@brennan2185 -Are you not old enough to have remembered what Dubya told us prior to the Iraq invasion?Your still attempting to change the subject which was the lies of the Bush administration as told to the citizens of this country prior to the invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq. I have been to many countries of the world. My dad was in the military and as a result I was born in the country where he and my mother lived at the time as was the situation with senator John McCain
@brennan2185 -My mention of Bush lies are not assumptions as the vast majority of this country knows.Your defense of the administration is the equivalent of beating a dead horse. You have no real argument and attempting to do so shows that either you are ignorant of what we were told or you have the idea that if you don't admit that what happened is truth it will all go away. Children who are caught doing wrong often deny the obvious but it in no way changes anything
@brennan2185 -I find it difficult to believe that any intelligent human being would even attempt to deny what is common knowledge among the vast majority in this country. You rate with the birthers of which there are those who still claim Obama is not a citizen. If there is still doubt after the gov. of Hawaii offered proof prior to O's election, the year after, and again in 2011 you can buy one of the coffee mugs that is available which shows his birth certificate.
@brennan2185 -How many countries do I need to go to in order to know what Dubya told us prior to the Iraq invasion? When you spoke with terrorists did they vouch for Dubya and his administration? It is really very simple-Bush made claims, later we found those claims were not true and now even the majority of repubs don't want to talk about this. Maybe you can convince the IAEA they were wrong or produce the drones capable of reaching our shores etc. Stick to the topic or move on
@urparanoia: "Am I old enough to remember?" Seriously? Look guy you can't refute one fact that I have to keep giving you. You can hate Bush all you want and love on Obama too. If you blindly follow some politician like he is your savior than that's your problem. I'm not going to sit here and talk politics and conspiracy theories especially not with someone as irrational as yourself. I gave you facts- many of them- you can't nor have you denied them; get over it; go argue with someone else.
@brennan2185 -My like or dislike for Obama or Bush doesn't change facts and neither does you denial of the facts. Don't take my word for it educate yourself regarding the Bush lies. It is difficult to believe that any literate person in this country would make the comments which you have. I now see why you were reluctant to answer my questions initially. Remember you are free to refute anything I have said but instead you chose in all instances to change the subject. So sad
@urparanoia It's pretty obvious obama is just another neo-con, if you need someone to explain you exactly why then it's clear you need to step out of your dungeon and stop defending your cult leader.
@pullzdatrigga -Do you realize that "neocon" means "new conservative" ? No one with a ounce of common sense would make such a claim. As I have told you time and time again you cannot back up your comments. Where do you people come from ? No wonder this country is circling !
@pullzdatrigga -It is official-you are a idiot. Saying O is a right winger is the equivalent of claiming the Pope isn't catholic. Run along kid I have intelligent people to talk with.
@pullzdatrigga -Now that I realize you are only 22 I understand why your comments are so far off base. Is the Obama healthcare plan typical of those from the right ? How about his efforts to regulate business or his fight for SS or medicare ? Your talk is nothing more then talk and a written example of how little you know
@urparanoia his continual caving in is the reason that Democrats lost so badly in 2010. If he had stood up and actually fought them just once on one important issue, those results could have been entirely different.Obama has shown only weakness but that’s just a guise, because he actually wanted little-to-no health care finance reform or banking reform, he worked against the repeal of DADT, and he actually wants to reduce Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
@urparanoia The reason that today’s progressives aren’t having the success that our country needs is because too many people like you are backing the right-wing policies of our current president. It only remains to be seen how long it will take you to recognize that he is farther to the right than Ronald Reagan was (Reagan would have — and did — fight tooth and nail to prevent the cuts to Medicare and Social Security that Obama is now proposing.)
@pullzdatrigga -Bill Maher said "Dems have moved to the right and repubs moved to the insane asylum". Like him or hate him he has a point. The problem is voters and their ignorance.Engage your brain for a moment and consider this:Repubs hate Medicare and will not budge on lets say raising the debt ceiling. They ask for a 10% decrease in Medicare as part of a compromise. Dems give them 2%.In the end repubs didn't lose 8% of what they wanted they gained 2% on what they didn't have
@pullzdatrigga -In the meantime the voters just want to fund the government so military will get their checks as will recipients of SS etc, etc. Many are not effected by the Medicare loss. Voters are convinced by repubs that benefits need to be cut, voters see that dems compromised and everyone claims victory. But not everyone is victorious as should be obvious. Dems keep giving , repubs keep taking and voters don't see that those not at the top are the losers.
@brennan2185 -Asking if you are old enough to remember the Bush rhetoric prior to the 2003 invasion is a perfectly legitimate question-do the math and you will see that it is entirely possible for you to have been too young to remember or pay attention and still have served at some point in Iraq. As for "blindly following some politician" it appears you are a bit confused since it is military men who are taught to follow orders without question which often come from the president.
@brennan2185 -Some of us think while others do not but there are some for who it is best if they let others think for them. However, you may be the perfect military man who ask no questions and protects those who couldn't care less about them. Your are a very good sheep, ignorant but a good sheep and George Bush couldn't have done it without you.
@brennan2185 -You are correct. I tend to not follow orders blindly and make it a point to actually find out for myself what is going on rather then take the word of others. That is one of the reasons that I am different from you. You know what they say about those who live in glass houses.
@brennan2185 Because you're freeing oppressed people (at least that's what I gathered...). Perhaps I am wrong... Anyways, if this was all about freeing oppressed people why aren't we in Myanmar or Moldova. Moldova has corrupt elections and run by the communist party. In 2009 there were anti-communist riots in Moldova after the communists stole the election. America didn't care about those oppressed people (Moldova is practically the poorest country in Europe, who cares about them?)
@HornPlayer983 Myanmar has tons of human rights violations, and when Aung San Suu Kyi's party (National League for Democracy) won the general elections the election was thrown out by the military regime and she would eventually be put in house arrest for her political activity. Why aren't we helping the countries calling for democracy? We slap sanctions on the governments whose people call for help, and then we invade and kill the people whose situation is the USA's fault.
@HornPlayer983 Saddam Hussein was such a friend of the US he was made an honorary citizen of Detroit. The US overthrew the democratically elected prime minister of Iran, Mossadeq. The US will support the Mujahideen when they're killing communists, but when the terrorists realize who the other imperialists are in their country (the west) and act accordingly: problem. In essence, the oppressed people are probably oppressed because of the US
@HornPlayer983: If you feel so passionately about the Myanmar citizenry and the people there write your Congressman/woman and ask them. I'm not the President I don't make the decisions and I'm not a Congressman or Senator so I can't legislate for one. The fact of the matter is we have allies (Japan/Australia/New Zealand/UK/etc...) that are involved in all of these areas. That is why we have joint training exercises with them and provide them with funding and technology.
@HornPlayer983: First Myanmar: The country is constantly patrolled by the Aussies and the Kiwis; that's their territory. They have strategic interests there because of their close geographical proximity and because of the mass amount of refugees that flee to their countries from Myanmar. Also the UN is involved in both Myanmar and Moldova because that is what the UN is supposed to do. That's why we provide about 23% of the financing to the UN. It's not just our world, that's why we have allies.
@urparanoia: Like I said your irrational and illogical. Just a blind sheep who is so ignorant so as to believe the god of media and politics. People like you are a cancer, a disease, and a parasite to democracy, to freedom, to liberty and to the United States. You are so arrogant and blind that you have the audacity to tell me what I did, what I seen, what is documented in history itself, and even what the enemy themselves admit to. Why? Because you can't admit your wrong and your full of pride.
what a dumbass, when someone says they dont support the war, they support bringing that jackass home to his family, if he likes it so much in Iraq he should just live there for the next 20 years, fuck him, and fuck the war
that first soldier is absoloutly right. they are just doing there job. and they do it damn well. these people who critisize them should come face to face with an RPG instead of critisizing the soldiers while they sit on there asshole
@padude64 I don't know if you're actually blind, or just can't read, but I think that logo at the bottom that says "NBC" means that it came from NBC. And yeah, it came from the fucking troops' mouths, but it must not be true. You, sir, are a jackass.
This is why the Vietnam vets came back with PTSD.
Although in previous wars soldiers coming back have their countries support and feel like their pain was worth it. They come back from vietnam and they're called baby killers.
@NickyAmerica In WWI, troops were not supported. They came back with PSTD and missing limbs and nobody quite knew why. In WWII, the term PSTD was not much talked about, perhaps because people understood the reasons for their actions. But if America enters into a war without legitimate cause, the population will be unwilling to support it to any great degree. They will wave their flags as the troops leave, and will try to forget it shortly afterwards. That's the way it is.
never believe a Liberal..no matter what he/she says or do. its proven over and over you cannot trust a liberal..they have lost all mankind's respects ,even their own kind doesnt trust them. sad..no pathetic.
@GROOVY846 -Keep telling yourself that.Remember, it was conservatives who lied to us about the reasons for going to war in Iraq, caused the financial meltdown, started us down the road to being a debtor nation with Reagan who increased debt by 300%, while Dubya did so to the tune of 200%, continuously support anti labor bills, enacted legislation that resulted in the S+L crisis etc.Try offering something of substance when you make comments rather then being a good sheep
A lot of you are buying into this Fox News idea of liberalism. If you're a liberal you believe in civil liberties, and while I personally thought the reason we went over there was bullshit, I believe we're better off having done it, and our soldiers did not die in vain. Our enemies oppose basic human freedoms and rights, any time there's a group like that, someone has to stop them. That said, war is never an easy, clear-cut issue, and people need to stop pretending it is, especially in the media
Your powers of deduction are about as dim as your comments, and the list was rhetorical. However, your answers do point out one thing... I am arguing with a young know it all who doesn't know shit about shit., and is questioning every liberal who ever served about their patriotism. But good for you about enlisting. I hope your DI beats your ass:) I know I would.
Judging from the comments I have read, troop supporters are some of the most violent-prone, aggressive and hateful people in this nation. That alone is reason to not support the troops.
By the way, mindlessly chanting that you support the troops means nothing.
I'm a LIBERAL ex VietNam vet so how about GFY? (Of course Liberals did not send you there and your fighting for oil, 'operation iraqie freedom' is just a chant the GOP used to get missguided souls onboard... How'd that dissasociation training work out for you? can you look another human being in the eye then pull the trigger -or- are those just 'things' in the way of obtaining your ordered objective..)
And that's what the self-righteous left know deep down inside. Make no mistake, the hypocrisy of saying: "I support you, except for the most profound choices of your life", is NOT lost on liberals.
Being leftists, they fear confrontation but relish being sanctimonious critics, ergo they taunt and hide behind double-speak.
A liberal is a patriot as much as he is a fucking toaster
@squirrelrides To say you support the troops means nothing. It is a mindless slogan that doesn't accomplish anything. In fact, some troops are tired of the pointless affirmation.
It's not my job to support their choices. I owe them nothing, but am forced to support them with my income. I can defend myself. I am neither a patriot or their friend.
@georgelopezblows you couldn't defend shit you pussy. And if you're not a patriot, then leave the country and stop sucking up my tax dollars for your welfare asshole
@squirrelrides What a load of shit. I'm a democrat and I was in Iraq, but according to your logic... "A liberal is a patriot as much as he is a fucking toaster". Well then, as a conservative, it's amazing that you can find the time to type this, being that your finger is stuck in your sister's pussy while your cracker spawn, imbreed, white trash, bible thumping children are trying to find you another beer because you're a drunk redneck who beats his sister/wife.
@NexNecis2001 You mean NOT every conservative is white trash? Wow.... I guess that makes sense because I'm sure there are MANY conservatives out there that are NOT what I stated. Squirrelnuts made a stupid generalization when he wrote "A liberal is a patriot as much as he is a fucking toaster". The difference between our two statements is that Squirrelrides actually believes his. By the way, I'm Irish American, so I know white trash when I hear it.
@adorablecreature79 let me guess, 1 you were not in any combat role, and 2 joined the military for primary reasons outside of serving your country Id Est financial or otherwise.
@squirrelrides I'll let you keep guessing slappy. I'll do some guessing of my own. 1. You're a big fan of FOX news 2. You are a die hard Christian 3. You actually don't give squirrels rides. 4. You NEVER served your country and never will 5. You are white 6. You go to Tea Party rallies 7. You masturbate to the Constitution, yet contradict it whenever it doesn't serve your purposes 8. You don't want the rich to be taxed 9. You still believe the south will rise (out of room)
And yes I am white, I believe in a flat tax rate, have a high regard for the founding principles of this nation and prefer Fox News over msnbc and cnn.
Now, I am in the process of enlisting, never have been to a tea party, can count the amount of times I've been to church on my fingers and do not have any confederate leanings.
@squirrelrides Look if I have a point to all this BS, it is simply this. After 6 years and 2 tours I can honestly say there were those who believed in what we were doing, those like me who were wondering why we were there when OUR enemy was elsewhere, and those who didn't care. But none of that mattered because we were all under constant alert. To have you, who watched the war in HDTV, question my patriotism, is a spit in the face of every man and woman who served. Liberal or Conservative.
@adorablecreature79 Our enemy wasn't there? While it becomes infinity more convoluted when referring to the invasion autonomously, Al-Qaeda has been well established there since 2003. Oh and obtained my opinions of the war after speaking to friends of mine who served there in ACTIVE combat duty (as Green Barets and Marines)
haha and at 23 with my Bachelor's degree, I am hardly the 18 year old country bumpkin you keep wanting to frame me as.
@squirrelrides Your powers of deduction are about as dim as your comments, and the list was rhetorical. However, your answers do point out one thing... I am arguing with a young know it all who doesn't know shit about shit., and is questioning every liberal who ever served about their patriotism. But good for you about enlisting. I hope your DI beats your ass:) I know I would.
@squirrelrides -The right wants us to think we should never question leaders if they are conserve leaders. We should wave the flag and follow them into the ditch even when it's obvious what they tell us is incorrect. They want us to think social programs =communism. If that were so the entire world would be communist. Common sense and a memory tells us since the election of Reagan the quality of life for the middle class has declined. Patriotism is more then being a good sheep
@squirrelrides -Prior to the fin. meltdown the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S. was medical bills yet the conserves fight for the status quo.Somehow conserve leaders convinced their flock that supporting their ideology is freedom when in fact doing so only serves to protect their greed.Ignorance of voters is the enemy of freedom. Many people have no idea what really caused the fin. meltdown even after conservative Al Greenspan admitted it was flawed conserve ideology. Sad !
i support the troops and their mission- what they go out and do everyday and what they are trying to do- and am a liberal, but that doesn't mean i support the leadership of the war effort, which made things a lot harder or even put the troops in unwinnable situations. However, it's only natural that not all troops would be comfortable with this distinction, since they teach you to follow orders in the military (as it should be).
@killerbeau95 Seriously....If the U.S. "Murders" for oil then where is it? Gas prices are insane. America only cares about oil....yeah right and I'm the king of neverland.

If i want to support the troops i have to support the war? If i don't support the war then by your logic i don't support the troops and if i don't support the troops then what? I'm unamerican? A traitor? Unpatriotic? I thought this was America.

SEALxGamerz 4 days ago
@SEALxGamerz I agree what you said but you do need to reconsider this: While Saddam Hussein's regime was no doubt far brutal, elimating his regime would make things worse or at the same level as his regime.
George Bush Sr stated in the 1990s that going into Baghdad and eliminating Saddam Hussein's regime would be a disaster. It would cause instability and would get U.S. troops bogged down in Iraq for many years getting caught in the religious civil war between factions in Iraq backed by Iran.
Hperman09 4 days ago
@SEALxGamerz -And every excuse given by Dubya's administration to invade the sovereign nation of Iraq has been proven to be false. Some of the excuses were lies that were proven to be such prior to the invasion. The claim of a IAEA report stating Iraq had a nuke was refuted prior to the invasion when a CONSERVATIVE new reporter called the IAEA to get the full story only to find no such report exists. What does my being "very sad" if I lived under Saddam have to do with anything ?
urparanoia 3 days ago
@SEALxGamerz -Citizens of Sierra Leone were "sad" when they were asked if they wanted short or long sleeves prior to their hands or arms being cut off but we did nothing. Invading Iraq was certainly not for humanitarian reasons as we all know. As for the "non nuclear" weapons you refer to you should remember that much of their chemical weapons came from the U.S. when they were the enemy of our enemy, Iran. We had no problem with them having such weapons at that time .
urparanoia 3 days ago
@SEALxGamerz -As for me "viciously attacking " you I am not sure what you mean. Are you are making reference to my response to those on this venue who try to convince others that white is black and black is white ? The Iraq war is a perfect example of what happens when small minded individuals ignore fact and blindly follow their leaders

@brennan2185 -"It's not reality unless it's shared".
Take the IAEA report for instance
urparanoia 3 weeks ago

Then there was the false info from the source known as "curve ball", the claim of drones that could carry bio and chem. weapons to our shores
urparanoia 3 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -The drones had a range limit of 300 miles or so. Do I need to continue ? These are the lies and had nothing to do with the media. I realize that repubs love to make the claim that the media is "a liberal media" which they play both ways. The plan is to claim anything said by the media which is unfavorable to repubs is because of their bias. Repubs also work it the other way when the media says something favorable claiming that "even the liberal media agrees".
urparanoia 3 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -If the media is liberal why did they stop covering anti war protests prior to the Iraq invasion? Why has Occupy Wall Street coverage stopped? Why did reporters apologize when the war turned sour and admit they buried stories that may have given the American people a better idea of what was really going on while putting the pro war stories on the front page of the Washington Post? Why, because there is no media bias. You were used, lied to and u support those who used u

If you choose to deny well established fact and protect those who didn't care if you live or die that's your right
urparanoia 3 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -Your tendency to call anything you don't know, understand, or want to be true a conspiracy theory only serves to show how little you know of the world around you.I find it disturbing that I speak of well established fact and you're completely oblivious to it.Open your eyes and ears, none of this is a secret. My dad was in the military and as a result I was born in the country where he and my mother lived at the time as was the situation with senator John McCain
urparanoia 2 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -My mention of Bush lies are not assumptions as the vast majority of this country knows.Your defense of the administration is the equivalent of beating a dead horse. You have no real argument and attempting to do so shows that either you are ignorant of what we were told or you have the idea that if you don't admit that what happened is truth it will all go away. Children who are caught doing wrong often deny the obvious but it in no way changes anything
urparanoia 2 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -I find it difficult to believe that any intelligent human being would even attempt to deny what is common knowledge among the vast majority in this country. You rate with the birthers of which there are those who still claim Obama is not a citizen. Stick to the topic or move on

urparanoia 1 week ago
@urparanoia his continual caving in is the reason that Democrats lost so badly in 2010. If he had stood up and actually fought them just once on one important issue, those results could have been entirely different.Obama has shown only weakness but that’s just a guise, because he actually wanted little-to-no health care finance reform or banking reform, he worked against the repeal of DADT, and he actually wants to reduce Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
pullzdatrigga 1 week ago
@urparanoia The reason that today’s progressives aren’t having the success that our country needs is because too many people like you are backing the right-wing policies of our current president. It only remains to be seen how long it will take you to recognize that he is farther to the right than Ronald Reagan was (Reagan would have — and did — fight tooth and nail to prevent the cuts to Medicare and Social Security that Obama is now proposing.)
pullzdatrigga 1 week ago
@pullzdatrigga -Bill Maher said "Dems have moved to the right and repubs moved to the insane asylum". Like him or hate him he has a point. The problem is voters and their ignorance.Engage your brain for a moment and consider this:Repubs hate Medicare and will not budge on lets say raising the debt ceiling. They ask for a 10% decrease in Medicare as part of a compromise. Dems give them 2%.In the end repubs didn't lose 8% of what they wanted they gained 2% on what they didn't have
urparanoia 1 week ago
@pullzdatrigga -In the meantime the voters just want to fund the government so military will get their checks as will recipients of SS etc, etc. Many are not effected by the Medicare loss. Voters are convinced by repubs that benefits need to be cut, voters see that dems compromised and everyone claims victory. But not everyone is victorious as should be obvious. Dems keep giving , repubs keep taking and voters don't see that those not at the top are the losers.
urparanoia 1 week ago
@brennan2185 -Asking if you are old enough to remember the Bush rhetoric prior to the 2003 invasion is a perfectly legitimate question-do the math and you will see that it is entirely possible for you to have been too young to remember or pay attention and still have served at some point in Iraq. As for "blindly following some politician" it appears you are a bit confused since it is military men who are taught to follow orders without question which often come from the president.
urparanoia 2 weeks ago
@brennan2185 -Some of us think while others do not but there are some for who it is best if they let others think for them. What was the righteous cause?
HornPlayer983 3 weeks ago
@HornPlayer983: If you really want to know you can refer to the approximately 20 other comments of mine below.
brennan2185 3 weeks ago
@brennan2185 Because you're freeing oppressed people (at least that's what I gathered...). Perhaps I am wrong... Anyways, if this was all about freeing oppressed people why aren't we in Myanmar or Moldova. Moldova has corrupt elections and run by the communist party. In 2009 there were anti-communist riots in Moldova after the communists stole the election. America didn't care about those oppressed people (Moldova is practically the poorest country in Europe, who cares about them?)
HornPlayer983 3 weeks ago
@HornPlayer983 Myanmar has tons of human rights violations, and when Aung San Suu Kyi's party (National League for Democracy) won the general elections the election was thrown out by the military regime and she would eventually be put in house arrest for her political activity. Why aren't we helping the countries calling for democracy? We slap sanctions on the governments whose people call for help, and then we invade and kill the people whose situation is the USA's fault.
HornPlayer983 3 weeks ago
@HornPlayer983 Saddam Hussein was such a friend of the US he was made an honorary citizen of Detroit. The US overthrew the democratically elected prime minister of Iran, Mossadeq. The US will support the Mujahideen when they're killing communists, but when the terrorists realize who the other imperialists are in their country (the west) and act accordingly: problem. In essence, the oppressed people are probably oppressed because of the US
HornPlayer983 3 weeks ago
@HornPlayer983: If you feel so passionately about the Myanmar citizenry and the people there write your Congressman/woman and ask them. I'm not the President I don't make the decisions and I'm not a Congressman or Senator so I can't legislate for one. The fact of the matter is we have allies (Japan/Australia/New Zealand/UK/etc...) that are involved in all of these areas. That is why we have joint training exercises with them and provide them with funding and technology.
brennan2185 3 weeks ago
@HornPlayer983: First Myanmar: The country is constantly patrolled by the Aussies and the Kiwis; that's their territory. They have strategic interests there because of their close geographical proximity and because of the mass amount of refugees that flee to their countries from Myanmar. Also the UN is involved in both Myanmar and Moldova because that is what the UN is supposed to do. That's why we provide about 23% of the financing to the UN. It's not just our world, that's why we have allies.
brennan2185 3 weeks ago
@urparanoia: Like I said your irrational and illogical. Just a blind sheep who is so ignorant so as to believe the god of media and politics. This is why the Vietnam vets came back with PTSD.
Although in previous wars soldiers coming back have their countries support and feel like their pain was worth it. They come back from vietnam and they're called baby killers.
I fear this is the same for Iraq and Afghanistan.
NickyAmerica 4 weeks ago
@NickyAmerica In WWI, troops were not supported. They came back with PSTD and missing limbs and nobody quite knew why. In WWII, the term PSTD was not much talked about, perhaps because people understood the reasons for their actions. But if America enters into a war without legitimate cause, the population will be unwilling to support it to any great degree. They will wave their flags as the troops leave, and will try to forget it shortly afterwards. That's the way it is.

Being leftists, they fear confrontation but relish being sanctimonious critics, ergo they taunt and hide behind double-speak.

But none of that mattered because we were all under constant alert. To have you, who watched the war in HDTV, question my patriotism, is a spit in the face of every man and woman who served.
