  • not stripping my cord...waste of cord

  • where do you buy the watch face

  • Great video xD nicely done

  • So for your initial cobra weave in all black, you left the inner 7 strand core intact right? And still able to run it through the spring loaded pins o the watch face? I'm gonna do like you did today and this is a great way to start on a watch band. I've made dozens of bracelets and key lanyards so far but haven't figured out the watch band. Great video thanks!

  • I know there many ways to skin a cat, And you did a nice job. On mine thigh, I did not cut off the original strap, so that I may save it for the future. I also did not take out the inards, so that if I ever did need to use the ten feet of cord, I would not lose the integrity of the cord. Just a thought.

  • zippos rule. best lighters ever made, in my opinion.

  • how many feet of paracord do you need when you did the separate knots on top of the original thin band??

  • It'd be nice if you actually showed how to tie a kobra knot.......

  • I think it would be better if you have a black background or table cloth to use a white paracord for demonstration purposes so we can see what you are doing better.

    Thanks

    Walt

  • @guitarmikey2 where do you buy the buckles for the watchband? I looked around and I can't find any.

  • How wide is the watch band after you do the king cobra stitch, and what size buckle should I get??

  • I was thinnin you could weave a belt with paracord same as the watch band from paracord have a nice belt & a poop load of paracord on hand

  • This vid was so helpful man I started in cobra and king cobra bracelets for me n my friends I made a watch band as u described it looks great Iam now working on some watch bands for my friends....jus wanna ask if u could make a paracord belt I think that would be awesome

  • Paracord is a lifesaver when camping!

  • how would you change the battery on the watch?

  • thanks alot i just put a paracord wrap on one of my old watches and it turned out very well, and it didnt take to long.

  • @thedarkknightgt That's great dude, glad I could help!

  • @guitarmikey2 yeah and i got alot of compliments on it, thanks again

  • @guitarmikey2 Thanks a lot man! By the way, that first watch you made a paracord band for was pretty sweet for trial and error. Are you an officer or possibly in the service?

  • I just started looking into making Paracord bracelets today and I've been trying to look up the reason for gutting the cord but haven't found the reason. Is there a good time to gut the cord and a good time not too? Just curious. The bracelet looks awesome! Love your videos on how to make them. :)

  • @whscassi2007 The only reason i gutted the core in on the watchband was so i could slip it through those brackets on the watch. If i could have done it, I would have just left the core in. That's always the better option in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

  • How do you change the battery? LOL

  • @rjmlakota Uh....LOL

  • @guitarmikey2 seems like a mechanical would be a better option for this project in the long term.

  • @guitarmikey2

Those metal pins that hold the watchface to the strap have springs in them, they come out and its just as easy to put right back on, if you arnt good with watches any watch shop will do it

  • @guitarmikey2 it was only 10 bucks..make a new one lol nice videos!

  • @rjmlakota just pull off the pin on the back and there you go.

  • There is also a different knot for a watchband but idk what it is called. Anyone know it?

  • Something to note with a band like this is that unlike standard watch bands, if one of the pins breaks/pops out, you wont lose your watch. Big plus!

  • have you ever made a watch band with a shackle.. that might be kinda cool for a guy..

  • Mine is done!!!

  • @Mrbowgod sweet! how'd it turn out?

  • @guitarmikey2 it turned out awesome! I love it! and I thank u for showing me.

  • In stead of using something sharp to push the cord through i usually use one of the inner strands as a fish line. loop it around the cord you want to pull through and since the inner strand is thin it will just pass through the narrow opening and you can pull the thicker cord though.

  • @freedoomed Oh yeah, I totally forgot about doing that. I have done that to put lanyards on my knives before. Thanks for the reminder!

  • Thank you so much man, This helped so much! I even bought a BPS watch head haha!

  • @DaddysGirl9311 Nice! 5.11 also sometimes gives away free watches when you order something from them, that's what I used to make my other one. Just an fyi. Glad the vid helped you!

  • Dude thank you So* much!!!

  • i have a SCUBA watch and some rubber on it just broke...so happy you posted this video when you did! thanks as always!

  • @BeanDip0913 Great! I'm glad it will help!

  • Good stuff. If I could wear a watch I would have the wife make me one. I am just too hard on em.I usually only wear my nice watches when we go out somewhere special. I have busted so many watch crystals I have lost count. I do wear a Indeglow timex when I hunt.Gotta know when the deer come!

  • @willwood487 Yeah man, gotta know when they start movin'!

  • @guitarmikey2 so true!

  • i might try this out for my casio g shock if possible. wait a minute. im not sure the posts will work. there are some screws and im not sure about the posts. hmmm. lets just watch shal we. very cool man. ill look further into this. may try it out with a watch laying around the house. need practise. great vid

  • @PavlovSandor I've thought about doing my g-shock before, but I don't think it would work out too good because of the way the band is made. I'd try it on something a little cheaper first :) Thanks for watching man!

  • Awesome!! Thanks man! This vid def. gives me a better sense of direction in making my own! Cool!!

  • @jeepnicc Yes sir, no problem! Thanks for watching!

  • When I'm really to make one, I'll definitely watch your vid buddy ;)

  • @elongatuspiranha You need to start making some of these to keep yourself from buying all those expensive knives :)

  • how much do you charge for a watch?

  • @bigjon7000 I've never sold one...

  • Now I know where I went wrong. Thanks a lot man! very helpful!

  • @Mrbowgod no problem!

  • Gotta remember this vid for when I decide to give this a try in the future. Thanks for the how-to!

  • @Lucentdawn No problem my friend, thanks for watching!

  • @guitarmikey2 Thanks for the reply. Probably won't be doing a video since my computer is currently down and I have to use my cell phone to do everything. Great video though. Your cobra weave video got me started. Keep 'em coming!

  • this was very cool. i always have trouble finding watches that fit so it would be nice to be able to make my own band. i'll keep this vid in mind should i choose to do that in the future. thanks for sharing.

  • @INFIDELxSTRONG No problem dude, thanks for watching!

  • The better thing to do would be to just start on each end of the watch face and work toward the buckle instead of having one continuous strand. Why? This will allow you to replace the battery without destroying the whole bracelet. This works best for the more expensive watches and ones that you may be selling/giving to others that don't know how to weave Paracord...

  • @FluffyBoy32 Please if you want to make your own video of how you would do it, go ahead. This is the method I've gone with, it's by no means perfect. Just trying to help some people have an idea where to start. This is only the second one I've made so I haven't thought of all the options yet. I'll be looking forward to your video...

  • @FluffyBoy32 I just made a watch band like you describe. It turned out great other than one side is a bit longer than the other side. I'll probably make a new one in a few days to get it right.

  • This is actually very cool. Thanks for making the video. I learned quite a bit about making the bracelet.

  • @chanderson1 No problem man, I hope it's a good resource for peeps.

  • Very cool but why do you remove the center of the paracord that gives it strength!

  • @PEREZCHOOCH so I could get it through the watch face a bit easier. If you can do it with the center still in...even better!

  • @guitarmikey2 Okay!

  • yes thx you

  • @halfhawk22 yup!

  • Knucklebump.

  • @GMGvanS :)

  • thanks man very nice tutorial

  • @simezra no problem, thanks for watching!

  • Awesome

  • oh and |+I+I+I+| KB (and im not doing the whole "im 1st!!" BS) ha stay safe bro
