Boarding is when you check somebody violentley into the boards, which is what he did, if you watched the start of this game in ice castle, you would see that the player that hit him got into a fight with him the period before and losing, hence the payback, thats how the ref saw it and he got a major penelty and got booted for the period.

1. No it was not a delayed icing, so that is ruled out.
2. HE glided into it... not charging.
3. Did not leave his feet... not charging.
4. Player was not facing the boards... not boarding.
5. Player had just played the puck... not interference.
