The Old Czech spy station sent QSL cards and was quite friendly about it. They were so confident that the codes could not be cracked and they are the only ones to acknowledge (albeit informally) the existence of numbers stations. There attitude in getting a QSL request is really "We know that you know what we are doing - and we're not bothered."
Maybe a grid refrence point? Or part of,mixed in the numbers itself?Just a guess from an ex infantry guy.Very interesting stuff. The British wouldn't let us very close to the listening station at Cape Greco in Cyprus when we stayed at the British base there,Tequalia? I spelt it wrong I bet ;)
This must be a really boring job for whoever has to read out those numbers. With today's computers being able to speak so clearly I wonder how many of these voices are actually electronic?
These Number 'Stations' basically use the same technology as the speaking clock (TIM). If you notice, the actual voice of the woman is that of the speaking clock until it changed in the 90's
This is number station E03 "Lincolnshire Poacher".

Is there any chance to verify this stations by a QSL card?
Here in Mexico is Quite easy to listen this kind of spy number station for Cuba and I have several code mesagges recorded

QSL cards for these stations are VERY rare, mainly because these stations arn't technically meant to exist.
The recording is of Lincolnshire Poacher (E3) based in cyprus.

Send your request to SIS in London, they might reply back, with a QSL card or a letter saying please don't listen to it, there's a good chap ;-)

they are almost universally electronic.
There was a 'sighting' of a 'live' number station a year back, but they were just reception tests for a legit radio station coming on line.
