  • seriously compelling piece of music. this tune is a worthy cap to a great life's work by kitch. and dr. remy did well to tease out this performance. very well executed. crisp, clean and all that.

this tune is interesting for another reason. i think it is the only piece that was arranged by all three of the great steelband arrangers -- jit, boogsie, and clive, in no particular order. it's fun comparing the three arrangements, and very hard to pick one over the others,

  • @sftyou So correct with your comments another marvelous pan tune was mind yuh business from 1998 by Boogie sung by Denise Plumber.

    Phase 2 came 2nd,

Pan Knights 7th sweet arrangement by Robbie

Nutones with Master Bradley very innovative piece placed 8th

Incredible Jit with Corrdettes came 9th

Skiffle Bunch with Philmore came in 10th

Tokyo just missed out on a final placing 13/14 I think in semis with Ray Holman

And that tune was the most played that year.

  • @angelpanman That was a great tune, thanks for reminding. Phase II was outstanding, that intro was one of the best ever in panorama imo. I watched those performances again, thanks to youtube, and I have to agree with the judges this time around, but it was very, very close, because Skiffle Bunch at no. 10 was outstanding, yet I can't reorder the standings. I don't know what it is about Mind yuh Business, but it might well be a panorama signature tune for the 90s. It brings back memories...
