This was just wonderful!!! I love the song by Switchfoot, and your pics were amazing. I love how you peeled away the layers and we saw the soul of Guy. Oh, and I especially loved how you used young Guy I think he was excellently cast. I don't do alot of commenting but I follow your work and as always GREAT work loved it! You do Guy of Gisborne proud and because of your talent he still lives on......

Richard gave us such a superb performance as Guy, didn't he, Angela? I can understand how someone with as sunny a personality as RA was ready to put the gorgeous brooding bad boy Gisborne to rest after three years . . . but it still tore at my heart to actually "lose" him . . . yet he lives on in wonderful vids and fan fic and art. yes, you are right. Probably it is really his raw pain and living torment (after Marian´s death) that are awaking our mercy, compassion and need to protect him, to help him. I think this is exactly that what is attracting (above all women) people to character of Guy of Gisborne, perfomed by RA. He (yes, Richard :)) gives Guy this "enchantment" of vulnerability.

This is simply great: I was so shocked when I first saw the last episode ... I think your video beautifully underlines how Guy was the "real character" of the series, the most complex one (of course, this is merely my opinion). Great job: 5* and fav ^_^
Tell me about it! I so want him to play another medieval (or medieval-type) guy (Guy--Ha ha :)) I fell in love with the Pellinor books a couple of years ago and I would LOVE to have them cast RA as Cadvan. Though it never discribes Cadvan as being in leather pants. He does where black though. I don't want him type cast. GofG and Cadvan have some similarities, but Cadvan's not as "damaged" as Guy was--though he is mysterious . . .

You're not alone. I still get teary if I think about it too much. He was definitely the most complex character in the show, and if they keep it going it will be lessened because of his loss.
Gorgeous title page! Love the hands at :20! OMG! At :38 the "crinkle" on the forehead! Love :40 with the split images of Meg & Marian, brilliant! Love 1:01 dropping of the head on "got now". The key clip at 1:13 has so much meaning, excellent choice! Love the clip choice at 1:25 to go with the lyrics, "are you who you want to be". 1:35 is powerful and HOT! The flashbacks are nicely done, love the desaturation. 2:11 I love how you included Issabella there. 2:21 - 2:37 is OMG! So well done!
Just a few more... at 2:56 the Meg & Guy editing is so very, very well done! At 3:01 to 3:03 OMG! The hand face cross-fade w/ Marian, absolutely brilliant! I love how you show us the connection there. I love 3:37 - 3:46 so nicely done! I love the credits because searchlights conjures up someone running away and being hunted, sort of like our Guy at times. The quotes at the end is brilliant! I just love the way you show more meaning with your cross-fades, it's brilliant and inspired! Love it!

Beautiful video. I really liked the storyline with Meg, but it is so sad that every woman he loves dies. Well, Marian's death was kinda his fault, but then I always thought that he would kill her if he found out she was the Nightwatchman (I knew he was going to kill her before I started watching the series), but he even saved her then.
Last episode was already the 11th. Just as I start to really like it again, it's almost over. Luckily, there are people like you making brilliant vids like this.
At least it looks (with the last ep, anyway) that Guy is finally going to embrace the goodness that we've always known was in him. I'm sorry that the writers made HIM responsible for Marian's death, but (and I know I'm getting sappy, here) maybe he had to do something so heinous before he could give the badness up. Like spikesbint says, its about him overcoming things and turning his life around. I really hope he becomes the new RH in season 4 (I hope, I hope).
I hope he does so much, I think Archer will play a big part in S4, but I would hate to see Guy become his second, I just have a really bad feeling that Guy is not going to survive and I want him to live! :(
oh, please do NOT say that--don't even think it. I can't believe that RA would be leaving the show and the fans not know about it before hand (of course, I'm in the US, so I may have missed something. G needs to be the new outlaw leader, IMHO. Especially if Archer works w/ Isabella. You haven't heard that they're ending him, have you. They would definitely lose some viewers . . .
This is what makes me think it may not be a happy ending for Guy.

I don't like the sound of that. I read some interviews with Richard Armitage before and it never occured to me from those that Richard might be leaving the show, but now I think about it, I can't really remember him saying he would be in de next series. I can live with Robin Hood without Robin Hood. Archer seems like a good replacement. But Robin Hood without Guy of Gisborne...
I don't like it either. I'm kind of glad I know before-hand tho' so I can be prepared. It never occured to me that RA would be leaving, too, inspite of the fact that he's in Spooks now. All I can say is that they better not kill him off on that show. I'll go through complete withdrawl.
Thank you, and I wish they had had Guy turn a few episodes earlier than they did, I am enjoying his snarkiness, but his need to try and do the right thing now. I hope the writers are not as evil as they usually are, and if Guy is to die it is with honour, I am hoping so much that he doesn't.

Thanks Kat, my friends and I often talk about how Marian could still have fitted in S3, and even now I still miss her, I would have loved to see how she reacted to isabella, but then I guess the angst would have been lessened this season, I hated what they did to guy for the first 8 episodes

I was very touched while watching this video. I'm glad to see Guy fulfilling Marian's belief in his humanity, but I wish it didn't have to come at the cost of losing her. Still, your video beautifully captures the turnabout in his character. I wish there was some way Marian could be there to see it herself. 5 stars!

The key clip at 1:13 has so much meaning, excellent choice! Love the clip choice at 1:25 to go with the lyrics, "are you who you want to be". 1:35 is powerful and HOT! The flashbacks are nicely done, love the desaturation. 2:11 I love how you included Issabella there. 2:21 - 2:37 is OMG! So well done!

Just a few more... at 2:56 the Meg & Guy editing is so very, very well done! At 3:01 to 3:03 OMG! The hand face cross-fade w/ Marian, absolutely brilliant! I love how you show us the connection there. I love 3:37 - 3:46 so nicely done! I love the credits because searchlights conjures up someone running away and being hunted, sort of like our Guy at times. The quotes at the end is brilliant! I just love the way you show more meaning with your cross-fades, it's brilliant and inspired! Love it!

Beautiful video. I really liked the storyline with Meg, but it is so sad that every woman he loves dies. Well, Marian's death was kinda his fault, but then I always thought that he would kill her if he found out she was the Nightwatchman (I knew he was going to kill her before I started watching the series), but he even saved her then.
Last episode was already the 11th. Just as I start to really like it again, it's almost over. Luckily, there are people like you making brilliant vids like this.

At least it looks (with the last ep, anyway) that Guy is finally going to embrace the goodness that we've always known was in him. I'm sorry that the writers made HIM responsible for Marian's death, but (and I know I'm getting sappy, here) maybe he had to do something so heinous before he could give the badness up. Like spikesbint says, its about him overcoming things and turning his life around. I really hope he becomes the new RH in season 4 (I hope, I hope).

I hope he does so much, I think Archer will play a big part in S4, but I would hate to see Guy become his second, I just have a really bad feeling that Guy is not going to survive and I want him to live! :(

oh, please do NOT say that--don't even think it. I can't believe that RA would be leaving the show and the fans not know about it before hand (of course, I'm in the US, so I may have missed something. G needs to be the new outlaw leader, IMHO. Especially if Archer works w/ Isabella. You haven't heard that they're ending him, have you. They would definitely lose some viewers . . .

I don't like the sound of that. I read some interviews with Richard Armitage before and it never occured to me from those that Richard might be leaving the show, but now I think about it, I can't really remember him saying he would be in de next series. I can live with Robin Hood without Robin Hood. Archer seems like a good replacement. But Robin Hood without Guy of Gisborne...

I don't like it either. I'm kind of glad I know before-hand tho' so I can be prepared. It never occured to me that RA would be leaving, too, inspite of the fact that he's in Spooks now. All I can say is that they better not kill him off on that show. I'll go through complete withdrawl.

Thank you, and I wish they had had Guy turn a few episodes earlier than they did, I am enjoying his snarkiness, but his need to try and do the right thing now. I hope the writers are not as evil as they usually are, and if Guy is to die it is with honour, I am hoping so much that he doesn't.

Thanks Kat, my friends and I often talk about how Marian could still have fitted in S3, and even now I still miss her, I would have loved to see how she reacted to isabella, but then I guess the angst would have been lessened this season, I hated what they did to guy for the first 8 episodes

What a fantastic, emotionally rich video. A true character study and one that takes Guy full circle, well done. I love the song choice, it's perfect for season 3 Guy. I was very touched while watching this video. I'm glad to see Guy fulfilling Marian's belief in his humanity, but I wish it didn't have to come at the cost of losing her. Still, your video beautifully captures the turnabout in his character. I wish there was some way Marian could be there to see it herself. 5 stars!

Oh Angela WOOOW!!! That was incredible! I usually shy away from videos that involve Guy and Marian now just because I don't like how she treated him but the way you worked her in there kind of made me remember she did make him into a better person. This was such a moving and beautiful GoG video!! It is posted on my blog, in my faves and I'm sharing it with my other Guy fans on myspace!! Truly a masterpiece!!
