Team Fortress 1 was originally a quake 1 mod, which was really popular. Team Fortress Classic was just the mod on its own with the Halflife engine. Team Fortress 2 is with the Halflife 2 engine, but really its Team Fortress 3. In my opinion, it 2 should be called Team Fortress Source to make it easier to understand.
