wooooow what a land,had to be a very experienced pilot, by the way the plane was luring on tehran's skies for around 1 and half hour before land, the control tower told the pilot we don't have white foam to pour,the military does and it would take at least another hour for it to arrive, thanks to U.S and its allies that have sanctioned iran in anyways they could for almost 35 years now.

These happen all the time and it's precisely because of that they're not reported on. Dunno why this one was picked up by the media. The majority of crashes aren't even reported on. Yes, this incident is an impressive display of airmanship and straight thinking under pressure, however I do not think it owes the pilot a "hero" title. Sully has been dismissing the same title, stating he was just doing his job, and he's right.

RE: Embargo. Iran air has access to new jets, they just won't buy them. Sort of a "Bite your nose off to spite your face" type thing.

@ariubarzan the aircraft would only flip if the pilot happened to bounce the aircraft from one side to the other which vervevryvery rarely happens..i have read reports from other countries with airlines suffering the same problem.. although, yes this isnt a normal landing, it is not very dangeous at all in a big strong 727.

@johnp3922 The plane just needs to touch down, speed breaks, reverst thrust, tap on the brakes while keep ing the nose above the ground...the nose hits the ground at a very low speed..around 80kts im guessing which is not fast for a 727......take nothing away from the pilot though but if the plane did crash after making a good landing..the pilots has made a big mistake as this landing should be an easy routine emergency landing..far larger aircraft with more people , have made this 100 times b4
