Without a doubt the best tripute to the memory of 9/11. Saw them in Vegas and saw them perform this song, just amazing....and if you are not moved by it, then I feel sorry for you..
I've been to hundreds of concerts for my job, but each time I saw them do this on tour, it completely choked me up like no other song. Such a well-presented piece.
whe we wathed in my music class our music teacher explained that all this paper just flew into fields miles away and said it was really important stuff like social security stuff and one kid was like id grab as much stuff as possible and become rich then the teachers like so your saying that your going to put a family with 5 kids into millions of dollars of debt and will only have one income now that their fathers dead and the kids like yeah pretty much then the teachers like selfish pig
Much better than all those rappers poppin' caps who sing about 911 and much MUCH better than the corny, horrible, country singers who dared to put lyrics to this catastrophe, vocal-less and blameless, nothing more than a tribute to the people who lost their lives.
Kudos to the Blue Men for keeping it respectfully silent and without a viewpoint.
This is amazing. One of the best tributes I have ever heard- and yet it has no words. Its entire point is simply to remember those who tragically died. Not too bash anyone or get into political debates. I'm really glad I found this.
I totally agree. When I was watching this, I thought "Even the people who think 9/11 was a conspiracy can still enjoy this". People died, and this is a simple thing to remember them without any political point of view.
Oh...my god. I love this song. My uncle lives in New York. He was going to the Twin Towers on 9/11. He got sick with the stomach flu and couldn't go for whatever reason. God was looking after him.
I agree with Hund. It's selfish to think your uncle was being watched over by God because he didn't go. If that's true, then God didn't watch over all those who did die.
The different papers represent the people that were on the planes when they crashed. I thnk that the papers show what the people were doing before they died.
If you watch the beginning of the video, these are scraps of paper that blew into Carroll Gardens, a neighborhood downwind of the WTC. Presumably, they are from the offices first hit by the planes, a fact lent to by the burnt edges on some of the sheets.
The last paper with "Cantor Fitzgerald" on it is the one that really gives it away. The company was located on the upper floors, and lost hundreds of employees.
It's a fairly confusing game, but My dad, my older Brother, me, and my younger brother, would all play together with Myst when we were very little...Ah...The good times...XD
you basically just explore. its one of the few games out there that actually require rational thinking to beat. you start off knowing pretty much nothing having no idea where to go.
for some reason, the cheering and applause at the end seems like a strange reaction to this piece, considering the underlying message. to me, speechless awe seems more fitting.
behold the power of a ton of PVC pipe and a group of very imaginitive men. sometimes the most powerful songs have no words. and this one is on the list.
"WE WILL NEVER FORGET" a promise made by a country, united in the pain felt by all. we all know it emotionally destroyed thousands of families, it was a personal attack on America, and freedom itself. While September 11, 2001 caused us all emotional pain, directly affected by it or not, it also united a Nation, and brought us closer together one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. this is why we must keep our promise, made those six long years ago, and NEVER FORGET.
I dont know why I didnt post a comment yet. These guys are aweseom. This is one of my favorites consider how much I like the blue man group. But those who dont like them and say "Those fucking guys don't know anything....they make shows to steal money. assholds!!!" dont know a damn thing and they are the stupid ones. They know nothing bout what these guys can do. I seen one of their concerts in Vegas cause thats where the orginal ones are or so they say but it was very good.
wow. these guys are so great. i wish they played this song when i saw them in vegas. and WOW did you see all the people in the crowd??! god they've got to make a million on each show! lol. w/e the rock
by "steal", I assume you mean "earn". They write incredibly complex music and perform it, just like any other musician would. And then they do lots of other amazing things. When I heard that the tickets near me were $60 a person, I thought it was CHEAP for what we saw! People pay good money to see them, and if you have a problem with that, then f*ck off.
the best tribute, as dark said, no politics, no shit, I saw emm a few weeks ago and when they played the song, almost the whole auditorium cyied, the best show, the best song, the best performance.
