Correct, it's babbino not bambino. babbino is italian for father, while bambino is the child.

Even when the correct name of the aria is "O, Mio Babbino Caro", nobody is perfect , we all make mistakes, and I am very gratefull to this person who kindly posted this wonderfull performing of Caballe I am enjoying now.

This gave me chills !!! Its nice to see the progression of a great voice through the years-she was at her best here. The version she sang 30 years after this one was not her best, but for her age it was wonderful !!!

Lovely singing, but wrong spelling

It's "o mio babbino caro" and not "bambino". She is singing the aria to her "dear little father" who is Gianni Schicci and not to a child.
