  • Enjoyed watching this one. Memories of a trip to USA in 2009 and waking up in the night at hotel in Flagstaff, to hear the distant wailing of engine horns. Thanks for reminding me of a great trip.

  • @MrPaulkBoot You're welcome, Paul. Your videos remind me of my childhood in the U.K. so we have a "mutual benefit" thing going on here. Cheers, Robin

  • Very nice layout and video!!! The different camera angles are great. Those BC Rail locomotives look fabulous. I always liked that color scheme. And I think it's wonderful that your grandson helped with this video.

  • @rj2571 Thanks for watching. We all missed the BC Rail dogwood livery up here when they switched to red, white and blue. Now, of course, BC Rail is a "fallen flag", having been sold to CN Rail a few years back.

And yes, having my 7 year old grandson operate the DCS remote was fun. Took him about five minutes to figure out what took me weeks. That is a real generation gap.

  • @bluecomet390 If you don't mind me asking, What was so bad about the RWB scheme?

  • @Nathanrailfan Good question. I think the dogwood scheme represented British Columbia - the provincial flower, and the colour of the forests that the line runs through. The RWB was more of a "political" colour representing the party colours of the government in power at the time. Also maybe a kind of flag thing going on there. But let's face it, it's just a matter of personal taste in the end. Thanks for watching.

  • Itss huge

  • @AlcoholicSemenStain2 Actually, it's quite small compared to other layouts - about 10'x 17' It's the different camera angles that give the impression of size. Plus going through a wall of course. Thanks for watching.
