torque? wtf? high torque engines always have lower RPM then lower torque but more HP engines (truck engine for example compaired to F1 engine for example) High torque 2.5krpm max against high HP 9krpm. Only other diference would be gear ratio. 1st buys speed with it, other one buys torque with it.

I think you're right. He went under the bridge at around 0:09 and was gone after 4 seconds at around 0:13. Before the zoom it looks like there's around 300 m which he travels in 4 seconds. That is 300/4*3,6 = 270 kmh ~ 168 mph. Might be 170-180 mph.

with same gear ratios you can not get more speed if you just put more hp. You can get more speed if car cant reach rev limiter at last gear when it's stock and tuned cars sometimes take more revs than stock and then you can get more speed but it has nothing to do with hp. Adding horsepower does not magically make gears longer. Any 8th grader with a calculator can figure that out. Speed in gear is a function of how tall the tire is, the rear-end ratio, the gear ratio, and the RPM of the engine. Power has nothing to do with it.
