I am gathering the money for a second hand 2005-2006 s type.For that money i could buy a bmw,audi,scoka or others.Hell no,somehow the classic look and feel of a jag is ....i can';t describe the feeling.There are better cars,but who cares?Even some magazines mentioned.You buy a jag with your heart,specially the s type.Who cares how much the tires cost,the interior,the wood,the feel..i sat in one,and i do not care how much they cost,i will have one.

Way to go, great cars... you should have put the song on the car' s stereo and oppend the doors and windows and let us hear the sound from the jaguar stereo... what stereo is it? Harman Cardon? I think they used to put that now they probably changed.

I just hope that if you get the 300 you do not get it with the 4 speed automatic gearbox. It's outrageous for a modern car. Lexus has an 8 speed automatic, but I doubt it's a real improvement to the Jags 6.
Anyway, in case you live in The Hague area I would NOT recomend the Blankespoor dealership for repairs. Better try Roterdam.They are VERY expensive and low in quality. I lost a head lamp sprinkler cap when driving with 200 something in Germany. Blankespoor did not believe me and they said that it was my fault (they said probably it felt in an automatic car wash) and I had to pay 116,52 Euro for the repair. That was the only techical problem so far.
Are these pictures taken from the Blankespoor dealership? My parents have got the S-type palladium 3.0 from Blankespoor as well. I really love that car!! We also have the leaper on the hood. Unfortunatly it has been stolen for two times now.. Have fun with the car..
Yes. About the leaper being stolen, slim chance with mine:). I keep the Jag in the garage at home and at work. I notice my Dutch neighbours use the garage to store their bicycles and other stuff they do not need while keeping their cars on the street:).
we had the xj8 v8 ,which is an amazing car , and moved down to the s-type as we didnt one so big, we found the v6 s-type great for acceleration when needed just like the xj, although it isnt packing a v8 it has a nice pick up, very smooth ride, and is extremely quite for a diesel , like ridiculously quite, it is obviusly an older mans car, but still , great, now with the XF in production its a modern classic
The S is a very classy car inside and out. XJ, the ulitimate of course. No one makes cars with the same quiet opulence. Got a Jaguar? you appreciate good taste!

It does suffer from being looked on as a an old man's car and the XF shold have been introduced earlier. I work on its production and it is simply stunning in the metal! Btw the latest Mondeo was spawned from the development of the x-type. Thats why it is such a great handling car.

Sorry to interfere, but I had an X-Type before having the S-Type, so here is my advice:
Now, you cannot compare two second-hand cars based only on their model(if that's what you're looking for). You should check their status first, and test drive them. I just can say that the S-Type is in a higher class, from many points of view.
x type is awd whereas s type is rear wheel drive. You gotta put snow /winter tires on s type for enhanced safety. however, s type is a higher class with more power in the same sized cars.
Nice tune, just a pity that brochure stand was in way. I adopted a Jaguar too 2004, a 33k miler. Love it. Best car I have ever bought.

I absolutely recommend the S Type. Particularly the 2006 version. Can be expensive to upkeep but the ride.... Aaah!
