  • fusor.net is the best resorce I have found

  • do you know a good website that explains how to construct a simple one? i cant seem to find any

  • 12,000Volts, DC, or AC this video is with DC

  • how many volts

  • I'd like to ask - is it possible with this technology to build a real lightsaber from Star Wars universe?

  • Nope. I have thought about how to construct a lightsaber(LS). But it requires some leaps in physics that we have not yet obtained. First major problem is the apparent energy source that the LS use. Only portable ones available at the current time generate way to much ionizing radiation to me used safely.

I hope on day you can use quantum entanglement to transfer energy from a large stationary power source at high density to small devices with 100% efficiency and at any distance. ThenmakeaLS

  • What's the energy output of this thing?

  • Zero, I did not design the inner element with the ability to harvest energy. The easiest method for a home build one would be to use the inner grid as a boiler coil once you have a stable fusion reaction. To get the reaction stable you have to make the inner grid transparent to the accelerated particles. In a full size model ,1.5m inner grid, I would suggest using lithium in the heat exchanger circuit as its isotopes are very short lived and it can carry higher heat density than water.

  • For how much money can I make one?

  • I built mine for about $200. I am exceptionally resourceful most people spend about $5000 to construct a good machine.

  • yo, do you sell the parts for the second machine?

i want to build my own! :-)

  • search fusor, they have lots and lots of info and really brilliant minds to help you with fusion and other scientific projects. I still have all the parts for my second machine and am not intrested in selling them at this time I have been working on other projects, algae biofuels, and with 18 hours of class and 20 hours of work and a 5 month old baby at home I have not had time to do more fusor research I can make a list of supplys and shortcuts twards constructing a demo fusor for you

  • hey, i'm interested in building a fusor and i was wondering whether you could give me a list of parts and shorcuts on how to build a fusor?

  • Glass bowl from walmart, silicone baking sheet for seal, Aluminum plate, PVC threaded fittings for HV pass threw fill them with2 hour epoxy, 12kv Transformer coil. two rotor vain 110vac airconditioner compressors pulling vacuum in series. I used mineral oil in the compressors but i would recommend buying vacuum pump oil.

  • anyone got a 20 kilovolt power supply and a jug of heavy water?

  • heavy water still controlled by the NRC? I can git to 50Kv ez. But what do you do with all those nuetrons flying around at speeds you can't stop?

  • I want to use the to transmute mecury into gold!

  • naw, they sell heavy water in beauty products (what the fuck!?) and for the Neutrons, stand far back behind some steel and graphite shielding.

  • Duck.

  • just drop some in-series microwave oven transformers into an oil bath and you should have a nice high voltage high amperage transformer 8^D

  • Nice. DD or DT fusion?

  • DD, I have all the parts to build a second machine but have not had time to assemble it. Thank you for the comment.

  • Great comment, I accidentally removed it and don't know how to add it back :(.

Making diamonds is easier i recommend a 40 ton shop press and tungsten two piece mold and 2300F heating elements yes you can make diamonds in your garage but don't go around telling every one ;)

  • WOW. I'll have to try that when I get ahold of a good vacuum pump

  • I used two AC compressors as a vacuum pumps

  • Charles Xavier

  • Yes it is a Fusor, I built it out of parts I found, total cost about $200

  • Yep it is a fusor I built out of parts I found. Total cost under $200

  • Is a Fusor?
