  • 'bit of aussy grit' lmao

  • Nooooooo!!!!!!

  • is daniel ricciardo in the HRT this year? (in the game)

  • @stevespepper no drivers from 1st race only no senna either :(

  • we can say tons of shhh, about how to make this game better but the true is Codemasters don't give a shit, I rather see this franchise handle over to another game developer, You as a Gamer wonder why makers of such good games as Grid , came up with so simple game.- f1 for pc was shit, will f1 2011 deliver? I don't think so.--

  • Hey man, they weren't reenacting a Renault win, it was actually a podium in Melbourne, I dare say he did some fist pumping crossing the line too. Nonetheless, I love what you've done here, small issue. I laughed like crazy at your Mark Webber 2010 Singapore reenactment.

  • @siloPIRATE you do realise the trailer is based on real events that's happened in the season so far

  • Petrov getting airbourne, just like real life again

  • Anybody notice, the Jenson Button taking the escape road against Felipe Massa at 0:46?

Just like in the real life Melbourne 2011 Grand Prix!

  • One word about the trailer: goosebumbs

  • My guess is safety car will be a simulation setting you can turn on and off, only for single player.

As for who controls the car, when you get waved yellows in traffic in F1 2010, you still control your car, so whats to say this will be any different?

Will have to wait and see I suppose, but this would be the only viable way to go about adding it in.

  • @Maddo03 Safety car will only feature in races of 20% length or above, and yes there is an option to turn it off. It will be available in both offline and online play.

  • @Kangarillas Awesome :) do you know whether or not the player is still in control under the safety car? If you get to play a game with the safety car, try doing a Vettel trick and slowing down just before a long straight. See if that gets you an illegal blocking penalty or not :P Would suck if it did.

  • @Maddo03 I don't know this 100%, but the developers have been quoted as saying that ''it won't just be a cut scene'' when the safety car is deployed, so I would expect to still have some element of control. Less than a month until we get to play it for ourselves!

  • Haha, I love the way they've included actual scenes that happened from this season in the intro.

  • Realistic yes- Boring yes- Waste of Codies resources-Yes

All I hope is that you can turn them off. It serves no purpose in the game.

  • Glad to see they fixed the Petrov finishing in the top 3 bug...not!

  • Thanks to all you idiots who asked for the safety car. Now I get to spend countless minutes driving around at 60mph in a line. Drive a Nascar sim its the most boring thing ever. Whay ask for something that makes the game more boring. Thanks again!

  • @metzgerov Codemasters have said that you won't get more than one safety car in a race, and it adds realism which is one of the things that makes the game fun. Stop bitching

  • F1 fans puzzle me, some say they are intelligent yet in their video game all they have whined about for two years is a safety car.

  • Great review as usual.. but there is something a bit stiff with the graphics still.. maybe low framerate video hopefully..

  • safety car adds that little extra realism to the game sure its minor thing but its a nice touch by codemasters

  • Do have a Facebook page? Post your videos there and everybody will like and share them (Y)

  • If Codies don't allow player control under the safety car, people will bitch and if they do allow control, people will bitch about penalties and online screw ups. It's a no win situation adding the safety car. I hope I'm proven wrong but I doubt it.

  • the safety car work by if theres a crash on the racing line. The safety car will be deployed and when it has caught the leader it will stay out for one full lap then will return in. Thumbs up so Alan can see this!

  • safety car, yes!!!

  • I agree on the safety car, not sure what it adds to the game and think codies have left themselves open. They will only get people screaming them about delta's. Very good to see they do listen and are willing to add features based on what the community wants

  • Someone that shares my opinion about safety cars! I wouldn't be surprised if it does more harm than good to the game to be honest.

  • Petrov didn't win...he was celebrating because he got his first podium.

  • The safety car is in the game, they offiacially announced it in a presentaion somewhere, can't remember where though. :)

  • i want to chop off that finger...

  • @dasazm105 Hahaha same =]

  • That Lewis and Webber thing Made ma Lmfao...

  • I love the way they put some moments from the real races into the trailer, like Petrov's flight (1:02), Hamilton and Button accident (1:38), Button winning Vettel (1:44)...

  • I agree re: the SC. It's a gimmick. I'd much rather the handling and AI were spot on. From my experience following a SC in a game is a nightmare. It will be especially problematic if they give you penalties for passing other cars under the SC.

  • will there be a feature to save replays of online races, love using it on forza 3 to save some of the best online times and think it would be gr8 on this?

  • Great vids, keep em commming.

  • Nice video but a lot of respect lost because of the poor Australian accent and being a typical brit crying about Lewis Hamilton.

  • @Shumacher5 I think it's a joke, he's more out spoken about Lewis' shortcommings than most Brits

  • @Shumacher5 Sense of humor failure there mate? (a bit like a RBR KERS failure. ;-)

  • I would much prefer to see authentic trackside cameras and the ability to save full race replays, than a bloody safety car!

  • @Gregz0r1 I belive TV cam style replays are in this year according to devs on the F1 2011 forums

  • @retrofly9 Yeah, but we've seen next to nothing showing them in an actual game replay. I never trust trailers to give me the full, in-game picture, as they are usually canned.

I've been waiting two months to register on the forums, and still registration is unavailable, lol. -_-

So I've been reading/lurking there a lot, just unable to comment.

  • @retrofly9 the once in this vid are tv cam style as if you compare to real life they would be in the same place

  • Haha! I loved that Webber bit!

  • Pretty cool stuff. I'd get into F1 more if the races weren't on rather early in the states. And if the drivers weren't overpaid.

  • someone's using a controller to play F1 or a keyboard, whatever it is, it's not as smooth steering as with a steering wheel.

  • No Renault win, Petrov 3th!

  • Corner Cut at 48 secs.

  • The game is looking great and I hope it really is. Not sure why people fuss so much about the SC. It's barely been seen this season and with the way crashes are handled in the game I don't see what the point is in having it. I get that in real racing it can sometimes make a difference in the outcome but that is so seldom that it's hardly worth the frustration if they have it coming out all the time slowing the action down so much it makes the game boring.

  • i love that at 1:46 where buttons like yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

  • i thought that this was the f1 2011 real season so far its the intro trailer aswell nice

  • Yes! looking forward to more F1 and Forza4 coverage. do you think Turn10 will implement dynamic weather in Forza4, such as rain?

  • They were highlighting the Renault Podium.

  • Tilke's tracks ruined F1

  • This is the best trailer i'ver seen in my life, amazing

  • Games looks amazing, although I am expecting loads of bugs on release. Good coverage as always ;)

  • does anyone know what kind of control we will have behind the safety car? will it be on rails like in the pits, or will we have full control?

  • the safety car works like this- Once it's picked up the leader (the SC) it'll stay out for one full lap then come in on the next. Steve Hood tweeted.

  • safety car is way cooler than the open wheeled ones

  • you deserve way more views

  • Agree whole heartedly about the safety car. I simply don't understand why people want it. Claims of 'authenticity' don't really wash when there are other more important things that could be addressed first in the pursuit of realism.

    Great video as always.

  • ok the music doesn't go with the trailer its F1 not some supercar race but anyway, i hope we get the same menu music and loading screen music from 2010 it was nice and relaxing

  • at 1:40 LOL nice recreationXD

  • Game is looking great

  • love your videos teamvvv keep them coming :P
