  • I just noticed, you removed the antenna contact on this video, but in your online guide, you don't even mention it? so is it okay not to remove it anymore or do you have to remove the antenna contact to be able to remove the battery?

  • i wonder how many times that iphone has been disassembled and reassembled for demonstration :P

  • @ifixityourself what's a good test to see if I should replace the battery? I've been on for a 1/2 hour and already I'm down to 89%. On wi-fi, I read some email. Checked FB and viewed this vid and a couple others. Also, I had the phone charging all night, which I never do. Forgot to turn the battery alert app back on after checking my last email before going to sleep.

  • where do you buy the battery???

  • @ilydrazz We sell them on our website. There's a link to it in the description of the video.

  • @ilydrazz on ebay for 7$ incl. shipping

  • What a lovely sense of humour, absolutely delightful and compelling viewing, the repairs are quite interesting also. haha

  • your hot :)

  • What a pro! :D

  • Hey if you're ever over in England, I'll take you out for a beer!

  • Kind of looks like Uma Thurman....is it just me? lol

  • @neftaleon11 Well she really is...better than Uma....very professional too...

  • The screw that connects the battery and the phone, is that the same screw that's used to hold the back cover of the iPhone ?

  • Nice video beautiful woman

  • beautiful teeth mmmm i want u baby so cute ..

  • Thumbs up if you only came here to watch her.

  • Loved when she said the thing about the AT&T jajajajaj!

  • You make it look so easy! :D

Now what exactly happens when you damage the pressure connectors for the battery?

    I accidentally broke mine & now my iPhone won't work ! :(

Is there a way to fix those connectors?????

  • @izeezation You could take it to someone who is skilled at soldering and have them re-solder the connector, but it sounds like you're looking at buying a new logic board. Personally, because the logic board is kind of pricey (almost as much as buying the phone at the no-commitment price), I'd sell all the usable components (front and rear panel, battery) on Craigslist or Ebay and use the cash to buy a new iPhone. Sorry! <3 mj

  • @iFixitYourself I guess you are 100% right!

I took it to a shop to solder the connectors but they couldn't figure out the reboot problem. It still doesn't charge & reboots like crazy! I tried disassembling it again to resell the white parts, but the logic board is stuck?!? So, I guess I'll contact apple & see if there's any hope to fix/replace it out of warrantee. If nothing works then I'll have to sell the parts & wait for iPhone 5. I learned my lesson T.T

Thanks & keep up the good work (Y)

  • shes cute

  • 777th viewer ^

  • thanx for the video

    its very useful

  • Can you fix me a sandwich XD, nice video very informational i feel confident to replace my iphone 4 battery.

  • nice video , tha for diy

  • Only problem with this is, that these spare batteries have a date of expire as well. So the day i will have to change my battery i will also have to buy a new fresh spare battery and since Apple deliberately changes almost everything on the next gen of their producst, i might not find one, because they went out of production. I mean a rechargable battery lasts about 1000-1500 recharge cycles, or roughly 2 years in which case this device is pretty much stone age by mobile phone standards.

  • Our pleasure!

  • @Hayaserforeveer it's not DIY , it' rather IFY :D

  • @TheWildKiwi

it is indeed a DIY, hence the tutorial of showing US how to replace the batt.
