Not sure what other youtube versions you're referring to, but this is based on Track 1 of the first Transformer score album (2007) entitled "Autobots". I think the CD is now difficult to find, but you can still get it in digital form from Amazon and Itunes or wherever..

yea, the version of this theme that played in the forest battle in the Revenge of the Fallen went a lot faster. My version was made last year and was based off the opening of the first movie which went at this slower tempo.

The instrument at best is as good as what you hear in you head. And obviously what you hear is impressive, as is your tallent to transfer it onto the keyboard. Really powerful performance and one of the best synth orchestras around. 5/5

Very cool. I love the Motif line. I have an XS8. Do you use Cubase or another sequencer? I'm actually quite happy with AI4 so far. I guess one of it's limitations is the number of instrument tracks, but it hasn't been a problem for me yet.

Yep, this "only" 57 seconds of orchestra really impressed me. Although it's an already excisting composition, you still blow me away with the performence.

Thanks for explaining that the Cubase AI4 is just an introduction because i thought it was a mistake the Cubase install disc was in the box.

I hope you are going to post some more orchestra gigs on youtube.

If you used in this composition only MOTIF XS' sounds, no other hardware etc, that's realy great! (I listened in stereo). This is one of the most impressive things from MOTIF XS on this site for me. Usually I hear cheap pop or electronic music or just poor performance. Even official YAMAHA's demos for MOTIF XS, as usually, primitive.

I have question. What is Cubase AI 4? Is this special version for YAMAHA's workstations? What is the difference between AI and regular Cubase or Cubase Nuendo?

Thank you for the compliment! Yes, everything you hear is default instruments on the Motif XS. No other hardware or effect was used.

As for Cubase AI4, it is an introductory not-for-sale version of Cubase that is bundled with some Yamaha hardware, such as the Motif XS, and lacks some features present in the for-sale version of Cubase Studio 4 or Cubase 4. Steinberg's Nuendo is audio production software along the lines of Pro Tools. Hope that helps.
