  • Not that so called Wing Chun master again - Simon Lau the biggest bullshitter around. He talks rubbish and he moves like a rigid plank of wood. He calls himself Doctor now even though he does not hold a validated medical qualification nor a PHd. He called himself a master in early 1980s when he didnt know the full wing chun system. I guess honesty doesnt pay the bills!

  • Excellent!

  • i'm vomitting

  • Awesome!

  • WTF!

  • I'm glad this video-group does mention fundamental differences, between Tai Chi and Kung Fu.

  • Hey, spotted my old Sifu :)

  • HAHAHA you chose to delete my questions and queries havent you? Well thank you for your time and indirectly answering my questions.

  • what? your questions still in the same place where you put them...not in this video...

  • ohh realised that boo boo! Sorry, this is the art im used to being referred to as hung kuen. Not the other one i saw. But still thank you for the great posts of the vidz.

  • So, that is wy many styles are commonly called in a generic way as "Hung Kuen".

  • Some of te styles created and performed by rebels where Hung Gar, Choy Lee Fut, Wing Chun...and meny southerns styles.

  • Not every rebel practice Hung Gar, not every practicer of Hung Gar was a rebel.

  • Many rebels practice many martial arts, and was much of theirs considered "Heros", Hung Kuen or Hong Kuen was commonly translated as "the clan of Heros".

  • From my understanding Hung is not a generic term as stated by Wong Kai Yin. Hung has not relation to CLF either. Hung Hei Goon is who the system is named after. He was a student of the Abbot Gee Sin. There are different branches of Hung and there is also a Hong fist from Shaolin also called red fist>

  • Hung has a pronuntiation similar to Hong, wich mean hero and Red, the red color was a distintion of much of the rebels against the Manchu goverment.

  • im with you on this one buddy!

  • awesome! Sifu Simon Lau and all those great future sifu's. Hair styles are good too!

  • Unbelievable! Finally, we see something of old so good! Why titled (Hung Kuen)? This is also Wing Chun in London. 'Way of the Warrior' was a revolution. A Legend. Please open the comments!

  • Beacouse Hung Kuen is a generic term for so many styles originated from the revel resistence after the burn of soutern shaolin temple. Hung Gar, Choy Lee Fut, Wing Chun...etc

  • I'll comment that. This was the series that placed wing chun (and Simon Lau) well and truly on the uk map. Its amazing to see so many modern day Sifu's starting out here ... and how young they look! YY were you in the class at that time?
