I bought an entire case of those sparklers this year plus 2 large brown assortment cases with a mix of everything you showed. For $30, we got 1700+ Sparklers. We spent another $210 for everything else, and it is going to be a great show. GO WHOLESALE!
Thanks Dave! I love Kellner's bought from them the past 4 years, Just walked bought 21 cases during the demo weekend (mostly 500 gram). Wish they still had the total exposure shells!
hey up here in wisconsin at phantom those hammer crackers you showed are actually pretty loud and i was getting them for 1.50$ a box for 36 in each box
@coopercrue no but they now sell TNT brand fireworks at wall mart with a pretty good selection and PHANTOM fireworks has a place set up around speedway and alvernon with a good selection too but as far as i know those are the only firework vendors in tucson right now
Hey Dave. I was looking at Kellfire.com and I noticed that almost all of these products went down price-wise! For example, the crazy cone assortment shown at 6:48 was $14.75, but as I looked on the Kellfire website, It is now $8.25! Does this have anything to do (as you mentioned) with the shrinkage of fireworks?
@TheBestYears1996 It may have to do with shipping and shrinkage. For a year shipping fireworks was high because they restricted fireworks at a main port in China because of accidents, and the Olympics thus everything need transported further to another port. Everyone raised their prices to prepare for the shipping increase. Shipping cost are now more stabilized.
Very nice videos, I also live in Pennsylvania and was thinking of going to patriotic fireworks in Maryland this year. It is also a warehouse. Have you ever heard anything good or bad about them?
Does the price get any cheaper if they sell to someone that has the proper license? According to my list in Hawaii there are A.C.S. Pyro in Kihei, Hawaii Pyrotechnics in Keaau, Asia Pacific, Bo Wan Trading and Iris Pyrotechnic Group all in Honolulu are they ant cheaper?
can anyone bye wholesale? or do you have to be a distributor/have a permit? and how much money do you normally have to spend to get wholesale products?
When I price out consumer fireworks prices I immediately check the price of one item. That item is the roll of 16k firecrackers. I base my decision on the price of that one item. Kellners fireworks $52.75. wfboom $65.48 Phantom is $199. And these are all case prices. You can BOGO the Phantom one and make it $99. The other two can not BOGO this item. The 16k firecrackers is always my reference item. It should be $50 to $55.
WFboom used to have decent prices up until last year, then they had a note on their website stating their prices were going up due to the major increase in fuel prices. Well, fuel prices are much lower now, so they need to reduce their high prices.
Just an update, I went down to BJ Alan today, I was going to buy some stuff by the case. I walked in and asked if I could buy by the case, he said yes, I then asked for some black cat stuff, he went to grab me a couple cases, I asked how much, he said $298...I said that's not right, your site says $65 bucks, he then said well if you buy wholesale you can have them for that price, but you have to order a minimum of $3500.00....I walked out the door and went to Wholesale fireworks in Hubbard.
Wow , that wholesale number used to be $2500 now it is $3500. That is a shame. I know Kellners will give you a good price if you just buy one case of anything. You just have to buy the whole case. If you are a smart consumer buyer you will not go to Phantom. It is a shame because he has good quality stuff. Thanks for that update. Anyone else out there have a story for us please post.
Phantom has a beautiful store, nice products and great service, but I was shocked to hear $3500.00 minimum, even $2500.00 is too much. So, I went to WFboom and got a couple cases, there they don't have any minimum prices. I'll have to take a trip to Kellner's next weekend, hopefully my wife won't complain. Know of any good restaurants in that area? hehe
Dave- Have you been able to find any crimped ended crackers in the current market? I haven't seen any since 1995..all the ones I find are plugged on each end with a plaster type substance..hard as a rock and hurt like hell when you get zinged by some of the debris from a string going off. Those old crimped crackers seemed to have less of a "dud" rate too.
It wasn't too long ago that I was comparing the old to the new, and wow..when did they go down hill?! Seems like you have to take more time to "de-braid" with that extra thin thread on a new string if you want some single shooters. From what I've heard, the red ones give off more of an acrid smoke that when burned in great quantity (such as when Hawaii wasn't restricting the limit of crackers), one's throat and lungs would get a burning sensation. Now those old bp crackers..gooood stuff!
The last time I bought any firecrackers was 3 years ago, I normally buy Thunderbombs, their wicks are faster but I always found them to be louder. But they didn't have any at the time...so I got a brand called Glorious, they're red crackers, but their quality stinks. Not loud at all. So anyways, I went down to buy some more today, this time Thunderbombs, they are red crackers, but seem to be fairly loud. Haven't had any Black Cat in years, but last time I had some they were crimped.
I think I remember Black Cats were using some sort of crimp and packed sawdust technique..they seem to not be as outstanding as they used to. I remember getting some old Thunderbomb cracker packs..some of those first years of production had amazing product. Usually 3 grain crackers, nice slow, even burning fuse and not a single leaky cracker. I think they were from the early '70s, as you could stick one in a tin can and it'd shoot it at least a hundred feet or so.
They must have started to do this recently, I had some blackcats, thunderbombs and other brands in early 2002. They were using the crimp process and their crackers weren't red. They also used better strings to tie them together too, you could actually untie them fast. Now they tie them with some very small string. Anyways, I'd like to know why they're different....to save money or for safety reasons.
These 3 videos here and the video of the Phantom store off-season visit are 2 of my favorite series from you. It's like I'm browsing for fireworks....
Hi - thanks for the video! Was it shot recently? I've been trying to find the "wild bear" cake for a while - I thought they weren't selling those anymore.
haha sweet,it is so cheap fireworks, buy some send me haha I will pay twice the price you buy em for,but still 173under normal price haha, amazing! thanks for sharing the 3part videos it was very great as usual, looking forward to demo night, gotta make a movie about it! saw here on youtube some "wholesalefireworks" adn the cake you saw a glinch of in the first video D-day, shot at youtube, will check that up right now, looks nice and sunny cool america is shining with the best fireworks I guess haha!

wow that is cool, so like mini newyear hehe, is it low price evening to purchase stuffs to then;)? lucky USA ppl, why can´t sweden be more like your state shwn it comes to fireworks;) I google zambelli hehe I could see pictures on google earth;)
No, because if your normal they will think somethings up. They think he looks too normal to be here buying fireworks. LOL. Just kidding, yes anyone may purchase items. As a matter of fact, if you live outside of Pennsylvania it is even easier to purchase here. If you live in Pennsylvania he has a special program he can tell you about.
Wow! I am truly surprised by the amounts of fireworks in that warehouse as well as how those boxes are just standing over there... In my country they only put some dummies inside showcases and the real cakes are stocked up in a bunker. You can't touch those cakes, you just have to make a choise and then ask the personnel to get them for you.
this would be heaven for me :D
