I never really got hold of all what the girl said in the intro, although i like the way she say it. OK, i heard .. "what do ya say!? what do ya say!?" What about the rest? anyone?
@lostpebble I don't get the first (sounds vaguely Italian?), then comes "ce soir" ("this night" in French). She ends with more French: "Il n'y a rien qui bouge où je suis... parce [que]" = Nothing happens here at my place... because". BTW, this song is tied with "True Love" as the best Ocasek solo effort, in my book. :-)
I became addicted to this album when I was about 13. It's something that's a permanent part of me. I'm glad for those really great things in the world and life.
There`s nothing like listening to a well constructed song and this one happens to be Ric`s best! Love the tempo and it`s just proof of how important Ric was to the cars.
When I first got the album on vinyl I thought it was rubbish. I kept listening though and then got it on CD and it is one of my all time faves! Pink flag Joe is the only throw-away track. The rest are brilliant.
I have Ric's album 'This side of Paradise and I used to listen this when I commuted to work. A great song by Ric. Thanks for posting the song and pics too
This is the best song written by Ric for its solo albums for the music, the melody and the last sentence: "cause everybody needs some love to feel alright"
wow haven't heard this for years. I always thought this album was fab and especially the production on it is unbelievable. thanks for posting. think i might reaquaint myself with ric's solo stuff...
Great song. Ric's best were "This side of Paradise" (you are never going to go through twice), and "Connect up to me"., and "Steal the night" (you can always start again)
And how fitting, too. Remember that "Everyone is someone! Don't you think so?" guy in Moonside? That one person, and this song, really sum up the whole mentality of Moonside IMO.
Gran sonido...muy bien estructurado, fiel al estilo de Ric Ocasek..

If I didn`t know this was one of Ric`s songs I would have told you it was one of a typical songs from "The Cars." Classic, unique and one of a kind!

Anyone got Look in your eyes from the same album? It's not available on itunes uk or bearshare.... such a brilliant song.

@ElizzasPod Can't agree more. Look in your Eyes is easily my favourite song on this album and possibly the best song on the CD/album.
I haven't been able to find it on YT either.
