  • Damn that was great...!

  • Great playing ! are you using 9's or a set of 10's on that LP ?

  • you think to : PINK FLOID for this solo .......is it so?

  • great tone, great backing track, great technique

  • what an amazing fingerstyle playing, mindblowing

  • Nice! Love the slight overdrive.

  • GAWDDAM DUDE! That sounds very very nice......reminds me of zeps tea for one.

  • @check6ii take a look at joe bonamasssa edition... your gonna love it

  • Did you use any pedals for the sound or is it just the koch? Awsome sound btw! I got the Koch Multitone 2 aswell but i cant get that sound! :)

  • Sounds like Pink Floyd , but is good !

  • Thats because it is the shine on you backing track

  • Backtrack reminds me of shine on you crazy dimond from Pink floyd

  • where did you get so nice backing track?

i would LOVE to jam on it, too ;)

  • Great sound, great R8, I also have an R8 but I didn't like the sound of the Burstbuckers, was too bright and harsh, yours sounded much better!

  • what scale are you playing in?

  • @BucketsProductions Gm pentatonic

  • I love your tone....what amp did you use un this video?

  • @Italicorum3500 i played it over my koch multitone II 100c amp

  • @Blueser66 - thanks very much. You know....I have got a 58 LP CS as well but so far I did not manage to get the tone that I want to, which is exactly the way you sound in this video. Please tell me more, what pedals and/or what settings did you use for the video? BTW you are a great guitar player, Excellent!

  • @Italicorum3500 thank you :)...what can i tell you about my settings in this vid? sorry but not much because i made this vid about 2 years ago :D. but i think i used the same seetings as today. for overdrive i usually use my okko diabolo. it is handmade and a bit expensive like all handmade pedals :D but it is every penny worth. and it is also importanat not to use too much gain. i hope this was a bit helpful for you .

  • @Italicorum3500 I agree with you, this guy's tone is pretty awesome. I note that he doesn't use alot of gain (as he mentioned), but I think a lot of his smoothness and dynamic control is due to his use of his fingers rather than a pick. His phrasing is awesome, and his bends are all 100% on pitch. He's very good, that's for sure.

  • @Italicorum3500 Another thing must be mentioned: He's playing this Les Paul with his fingers, and this changes a litle the sound. Sometimes the tecnique you choose changes the sound.

    Cheers!

  • @Italicorum3500 Just look up.

  • amazin tone and skills

  • nice

  • How do the tones of the 1958 Reissue compare with the tones of the 1957 Goldtop Reissue?

  • Comment removed

  • ive got exactly that guitar and i fucking love it, mines a honeyburst though

  • nice finger picking dude!

  • Damn that's nice, rock on Blueser66 - keep on crawlin' low and slow baby!!!!!

  • omg

  • sounding good here!

  • Great playing, and Iove that tone. I've moved over to fingerpicking recently and I'm converted. Fingertips > guitar > amp > a little reverb or delay = all I ever need. Great sound, and I've never felt more connected to my instruments.

  • is this the 58 with chambered body? I´ve never seen a flame top 58 without chambers

  • @keaulana1 yes you are right normaly 58 got no flame top but this was a limited edition vor the european market

  • shine on crazy diamond chord progression... pretty awsome... nice tone man... rock on!

  • Im confused. I have a 58 reissue VOS. Im pretty sure the 58s dont have a flame to the finish.

  • Great playing with feeling and an amazing Gibson LP :-)

  • awesome! youtube has got a lot of junk claiming to be blues these days, but your vid is legit!!

  • sounds like a mix of shine on crazy diamond and gary moore.

    top notch 100 stars.

  • Man, that's sure 'nuf fine playing.

Tone, doesn't get better in the humbucker world.

    Nice vid. Thanks.

  • what do you think of this guitar im thinking of buying it?

  • @mikeg123123

I prefer burny les pauls to gibsons. they're alot cheaper as well.

  • Very nice!

  • Where can I get the Drum Tracks? I really need some drum tracks...

  • That '58 Looks and Sounds Just like my '59. I mean just like it. I envy your playing for sure.

  • I keep checking out different pickups for some of my guitars ...and my '58 V.O.S's pickups, especially the bridge, is just to insanely awesome. They're very very versatile pickups. The neck can get a tad muddy at times, but man, they're great. They say '59's are the best, but I can't get away from the '58's.

  • "slow blues on gibson les paul" who could resist watching that?? the warm tone of a les paul is irresistable..

  • slow shine on your crazy diamond blues :P

  • That was great. Beautiful guitar, great tone, and very good playing. I like your finger-picking style. The way you switch from usual finger-picking to pick-style finger-picking. Very nice.

  • that's the tone of all tones! I can't put my 58 r8 vos away! love that amp

  • very nice playing!...i wish i could do that, ill keep practising, and your gibson sounds beautiful!

  • very david gilmourish

  • I hear more Bonamassa than Gilmour

  • nice note, nice playing, nice feel, mix your plucking with other picking styles and it will improve the dynamics of your sound like you did towards the end of the clip.

  • Really nice tone and touch, man.

  • Great guitarist & great guitar!!!

  • its either an early 2000 reissue or a cloud9 cr8:) sounds good ive got a 08 r8..

  • Great Playing!!...Keep going you are a great talent, congratulations...

  • f*ckin awesome :)

  • REALLY NICE! Its a plain top man?

  • That's not a plain top. There is some serious flame in that guitar.

  • oo i c..i've never seen a 58 reissue with flames..but ayway..thanks man!

  • soft playing, love it!

  • Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.

    Shine on you crazy diamond.

Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.

Shine on you crazy diamond........cheers :)

  • I have the same Amp could you give me the settings you used on this solo.

    Thank you

  • Great playing. Where can i find this backing track?

  • Loved the bend downs!

  • god damn sick tone there. guitar straigt to the amp??

  • I'm speakless! So good men

  • Kinda Gilmourish.

  • Just got a multitone II myself and... DAMN! The amp of God!

  • that's the kind of tone i like! and the fingerpicking is great. i'm a fingerpicker too. great fealling, man. keep rockin'! hell of a tone..

  • Nicely done - Jeff beck playing the slow blues!

  • beautiful..

  • Nice chops!

  • Great sound! I love it when people say Les Pauls are only good for hard rock; it's so much fun to prove them wrong.

  • great tone my brother!

  • one hell of a lovely mellow tone and cool playing, you deserve that axe my friend!!

  • MAN, HELL OF A TONE!

  • It looks like Gibson '59 Les Paul....nice sound

  • I love Gibson Les Paul 58 custom, this guitar rocks. That's one of Jimmy Page's favorite guitars. I own one and it's never dissapointed me...never.

  • very nice man. where did you get your picking technique from? Derek Trucks?

  • BTW nice sound. never heard of Koch b4 but seriously considering trading my 1959SLP plexi for one.

  • don't do it, you've got the original rock amp man, you will regret giving a Super Lead Plexi away even if you like your new amp, nothing can replace that marshall grunt

  • dont! the marshall is better.... its the guitar that makes that amp sound so amazing

  • knopfler style I think

  • What is pickup? Burstbucker ?

  • Thanks for answering! The r8 I can get here is kinda cheap.. But my problem is that if I get it, I won't be able to buy a stompbox I want or think about an amp. On the other hand, if I get a Standard, I can think about a stompbox and even getting an amp.. What you sad is true, if we got a good guitar, like a Standard, and a good amp the differences aren't big.. Well, let's see what gonna happen. Best Regards!

  • Man, what a tone and playing, great! I'm thinking about getting a Gibson Standard or a R8. Well, of course the R8 is better, but do you think a normal standard is already a good choice? In my country the Standard costs 5500 and the R8 8000. Does this price difference worth it? Cheers!

  • THX. well i got my one very cheap...i payed about 1900 euro...for a new one, whcih is extrem low...i like the R8 and R9 more cause they sound of course better...but if you got an good amp it is not that important which les paul you play^^...the diffrences aren´t big

  • @Blueser66 1900€ new? How did you do that?

  • you just need good connections and of course one lucky day ;)

  • What's amp ?

  • is it only the koch??

or are you using some pedals?

that's the blues tone i've been looking for for years now

post more tone samples of that amp please!!

  • no it is not^^...i´m using a tubescreamer in this vid...it is a german one called excalibur

  • hi there..

I love the tone.. and your playing is really nice..

I have been looking to buy that particular guitar for a couple of months now, but i haven't made up my mind yet.. I mean.. i WANT the guitar.. im not sure which finish tho. Did you also go through this process, and are you happy with your washed cherry? right now i think the WC is too red.. the Iced tea to "anonymous".. haven't seen the Faded tobacco yet. guess thats why i haven't bought it yet. I want to see all colors before i buy.

  • im getting the faded tabacco next week!! anyway you should play them and find on you like the sound of ..or so they say..i just ordered the colour i wanted but im going to play it first..p.s. you cant tell anything by pics and vids from the web they always look different in person..
