Zack Snyder changed the colors on his suit and it looks dirty and dull and like it needs a wash and adds a darkness that is not reflective of the nature of the man of steel. I watched it, and it can't top Reeves first 2 movies.
Reeves IS Superman.
No matter how many other will play him, he's the best of them all.
He also has the best Superman look, he simply IS Superman.
That costume was made for him.
And his Clark Kent is vastly underrated too, i watched them again some time ago and really for the first time really got all the little nuances and moments that made him such a great Clark, when for a second Supes flashes trough the disguise.
Looks like they're bringing back General Zod and his cronies. I don't mind the red underwear not being included, but couldn't they have made his boots blue? Leaving them red just highlights that something is missing.

DC really needs to make a justice league movie already. Now that The Avengers is coming out the bar is set pretty high for movies in general. If they do I hope they can give batman a few upgrades so that he won't get killed from a tiny slap by one of the justice leagues biggest enemies.

I have to admit that I'm "curious" to see what they do with this, but (and I have a feeling that I'm in the minority, here) I think Brandon Routh did a good job in "Superman Returns." I actually DID enjoy that film, and they should've just continued where that film left off with this new one. But, if they are choosing to go with a completely new actor and "premise", they should've left well enough alone and not changed Superman's costume so drastically as they seem to have done here!

DC really needs to make a justice league movie already. Now that The Avengers is coming out the bar is set pretty high for movies in general. If they do I hope they can give batman a few upgrades so that he won't get killed from a tiny slap by one of the justice leagues biggest enemies.

Trust me when I say this will be definitive Superman, This will change people's perspective on Clark kent. In synder I trust, In Nolan WE TRUST! Just like Batman got the reboot for the modern age so will Supes. I have read the script summary and it is very impressive. Who would have thought Hollywood could actually Make A realistic Superman Film. Well come June 2013 the whole world will truly believe a Man can fly.

I have to admit that I'm "curious" to see what they do with this, but (and I have a feeling that I'm in the minority, here) I think Brandon Routh did a good job in "Superman Returns." I actually DID enjoy that film, and they should've just continued where that film left off with this new one. But, if they are choosing to go with a completely new actor and "premise", they should've left well enough alone and not changed Superman's costume so drastically as they seem to have done here!

It doesn't matter who came first. It's what they bring to the role that matters. For instance, The first live action Batman was Adam West but no one in their right mind would claim he was the best.

Its funny how people are so afraid of change. The original superman movies and batman movies were a complete and total joke even as a kid i hated them. I think this will be the best superman movie todate becuase its not falling into the whole " Oh its a comic book so the movie must be like the comics" These guys are doing it as if it were real life and could actually happen just like the guys that did the new batman movies and the new spiderman movie comming out.. It will kick ass ..

I know its seems like they are rebooting these films way too frequently. One company says they have the right vision and another is like "No! you have to do it like THIS...I HAVE the right vision for this picture!" and back and forth *eyeroll*
Batman series seems to have it perfect though.
And even though Dragonball has a smaller following...IT really needs to be redone the right way!

Not only is the Superman outfit wrong, but so is the guy playing him. Supermand has a look of kindness and is heartfelt. This actor does not have that look. I hope he can really act it well.
