There's always a warning about sneaker waves on the Oregon Coast. Especially for that beach. The way the shore line is, there's a lot of rip tides, under tow, and sneaker waves. I've gone to Neskowing for 37 years and seen a number of people get caught off guard. Two years ago I had to help rescue a kid who was playing in the ocean too close to Proposal Rock when the tide shifted and slammed him up on the rock. This is the second person I know to have died there in the 37yrs.
