  • PART 3:

It is sobering to hear how in history "azaab" (ie. divine suffering) has come in three forms: (1) famine, (2) epidemic, and (3) war. Pakistan today is experiencing all three: country's resources cannot support its population; there is an epidemic of suicide bombings, ethnic and religious violence, and administrative corruption; and country's armed forces are fighting a war against its own citizens. Pak's future? Well, no system based on cruelty and injustice has ever survived.

  • PART 2:

Mr. Nisar is also correct in stating that Pak leadership needs to make a radical U-turn in public policy: rather than providing charity, govt should focus on skills, honor, and equality. Indeed, it is important for people to be able to stand on their own feet. I guess this is too much to expect - because as per Mr. Nisar - beggars can only give birth to beggars. (Yes, Pak govt is a world-class beggar; the entire country depends on foreign aid and emergency loans and credits).

  • PART 1:

In light of massive public disappointment with the latest federal budget, Hasan Nisar is correct in pointing out that: (a) every Pak govt blames the previous one for all the troubles, and (b) there is no hope for change as the "same Mafia" continues to rule the country. He further correctly explains that the fundamental problem is that: (c) Pakistani state is financially bankrupt and there can be no quick fix, and (d) we reached this abysmal stage after 62+ years of blunders.
