Classic indeed! How fantastic to see 1420 and 1421 again after over 33 years. I never realised they had survived and to see them working again over the very tracks where I had seen them in those sad days of 1975. My cine film of that trip is listed under OBB so should be easy to find. Do any other 93's survive? You got a well deserved 5* for this.
Interesting loco's, good camera work as all ways. Is this line totally abandoned by OBB (or whoever?), there appears to be some well maintained strtches of track (Fresh ballast). In the UK some group would be trying to open it as a tourist line.
It's one freight train pair per weekday, but in case of floodings like in 2006 or other disruptions of the Northern mainline it was also used for rerouting trains.
Well, yes, there are many lines in Europe that would have been opened as tourist lines in the UK! ;-)
However, the parts of the railway in Weinviertel closest to Vienna, which would have been a logical choice, are no more. In classic Austrian procedure they have been replaced with a cycling path!
At least they are now using the line to Ernstbrunn, seen on recent videos, as a tourist line on weekends. It's terminating close to Mistelbach, but starting in the vicinity to Vienna.
Świetnie nagrany film !!! Zupełnie jak u nas w WOLSZTYNIE :-) 5* się należy :-) POZDRAWIAMY

Hi,
Here you can find a list of all preserved 93s, but these two are the only ones currently active:
htt p://w ww.dampfl ok. at /c378.html
The site itself is a good source for all things concerning Austrian steamers.

Thanks again Roni, I understood the reasoning behind the gaps in the site address. LOL. It was kind of you to source it for me. Regards Tony

Oh, that looks useful. Thanks for that. I've been wondering if there was a handy list of locos in Austria.

Sieht nach österreichischen N28 aus.

Hallo!
Danke! :-)
In Österreich heisst das "Spanten", nicht "Donnerbüchsen" (schon alleine, weil es hier keine Büchsen gibt)! ;-) ;-)
