Thanks for the tutorials, turned me from a complete neophyte to something similar to a beyond beginner. WOuld love to see more advanced videos, although I know there is a lot to learn just by playing.
Fantastic series, and I really hope you get a chance to continue it in the future. I'm not a complete beginner, but I've recently decided to re-learn the game from scratch, and I stumbled upon your videos. I've watched them all in two sittings, and I've found them to be some of the clearest, most useful explanations I've seen to date. I would love to see some more advanced tutorials in the future!
@justingrant Thanks for the kind comment. I found it very interesting what you say about re-learning the game from scratch. I would say this is excellent advice for any player - I too will read beginner level books on occasion - it never hurts to continually ground yourself in the fundamentals of the game.
have loved this series. lots of people play at work, but with our short breaks (5-10min/hr) its a fast game. this is helping immensely (i no longer play the dreaded 4-1 as 13-8). thank you for all your effort!
just bought a backgammon set, i have never played before but my partner used to and can no longer remember how to play. The instructions with the game where not that clear so we researched on line, where we found your guide for beginners. We found it very clear and informative and now feel ready to play. i would definitely appreciate more of your guidance in the future. great stuff thanks.
@cuddlesat69 Thanks :) Really glad you're enjoying the game. Although I haven't any definite plans at the moment for continuing the series, as I've been quite ill recently, I am certainly not ruling it out, so hopefully there will be more, I'm afraid I just can't say exactly when.
I've watched all of your posts. They are the most helpful backgammon tutorials to be found on this website. I've evolved from a complete beginner into a novice very quickly.
