  • Yea

  • "Put that back in your pocket please...and, drive away please, Sir"

  • "Must aaaaah, must-a slipped, my mind."

  • Love it how he turns the car around the chase the witnessess, fucking hilarious honestly.

  • I fucking love these 2 actors

  • He speaks swedish at 5:47

    nån som märkte?

    haha kul

  • @blablaahaha japp. :-)

  • la mejor escna del mundO

  • "YOU SHOULD SEE THE OTHER GUY"

  • one of my fave films! class actors class script and the 'Coen' brothers are class! " HOW THE F**K DO DO YOU SPLIT A CAR YA DUMMY? WITH A CHAINSAW?!?" LOL

  • Great scene. Even the actor playing the cop is good.

  • fucking Stormare is tits...i think he could be in a movie where he doesn't say anything except "shut dey fuck up"

  • All the characters in this movie are brilliant. Especially Steve Buscemi's character.

  • 2:45 - Am I crazy or is that a five? Did he seriously try to bribe a cop with a fiver?? God, what a great character. XD

  • @psychoticmortacarn a fifty stupid...open your eyes jerky nuts

  • unfortunately, upon observing real point blank head shots, this actually ranks in the very freakin realistic category.

  • Great scene, albeit extremely gruesome.

Steve B. was very good in The Sopranos too.

  • your a smooth smooth

  • What a brilliant scene this is!

  • Best black comedy of all time

  • Awesome film i have seen it 3 times :D:L fav scene :D ohh and the woodchipper part ;D :P

  • Jah!

  • impresionante¡¡¡¡¡¡¡dios bendiga a los coen!!!!!!!

  • lmao i love how they talk in this movie i live in North Dakota and they don't talk like this but its still hilarious

  • they sure do speak like that in the northern central united states...you putz...they are all of german and austrian and of netherlands descent and after years of evolution they ended up sounded just like this......where do you get off sayin they dont speak like this ?

man the fuckin scumbag idiot liers in here...amazes me

  • I have lived in north dakota my whole life. I will admit there is a bit of a northern accent, buy not even close to this. You never hear people say douncha kno' and the way the police officer says please...never in my life have i heard that. Why would i lie about where i live and how people sound?

  • your not lying you just dont notice it cause you live there........

im from new jersey and cause the northerners from new york come down to the jersey shore and talk like....new joisey and shit like that people say we talk funny but whatever..ive been up there myself and its true you do talk like that ..just like people from northern new york state talk almost like you people just a tad bit different...dont fight it just accept it.......

  • This is just what the Coen bros do. They always exaggerate the regional accent, did it in blood simple and No country.

  • @DoctorJay2012 Everyone thinks they have a mild accent. Tape record yourself and play it back you might be surprised.

  • I live in Minnesota. And I use to think that to. Altough it may be exaggerated people from ND/MN do have a bit of that accent.

people have commented on mine altough subtle

  • @cholulasaucehot the people in this movie and from the area are clearly of Scandinavian descent; Lundegaard, Grimsrud, Olmstead, Gunderson, Gustafson and Olson are about as scandinavian as it gets. Most sound either Norwegian or Icelandic

  • @Berrylaff bullshit.......they are mostly of german decent (DUTCH)..... look it up scandanavian ? lol

  • @cholulasaucehot I did, scandinavian names...

  • @Berrylaff the highest concentration of german people in the u.s is in that northern region......german s are one of the highest imigrants in the u.s.

you better look up a graph on the internet showin the dispersment of nationalities in the u.s. up to this point....the people who talk funny in the northern states of the u.s. are DUTCH you dopey bastard

  • @cholulasaucehot statistics doesnt matter you dumb fuck. Its still scandinavian names, I dont give a shit how many leatherpants wearing germans you got over there. It's STILL scandinavian names. Take it from a scandinavian. And germans and dutch arent the same thing... dumbass x3.

  • @Berrylaff no shit ass clown.....im german and i know what the fuck the dutch are....you are still wrong....german decent not scandinavian....deal with it

  • @cholulasaucehot Im not gonna deal with it and what are you gonna do about it? And you still have no proof so suck it fucking tyskersvin.

  • Fucking pig should have just let him settle it... you know, right here in Brynard. Fucking pig should have minded his own business anyway.

  • "or else we're gonna have to...yknow...shoot ya" HAHA!! best line ever

  • At 1:40, the way the cinematographer (Coens?) put a stripe of light across Buchemis's googly eyes is brilliant

  • Yes, it's perfection.

  • i believe the cinematographer for fargo was roger deakins, who also did barton fink, the hudsucker proxy, the big lebowski, o brother where art thou, the man who wasn't there, intolerable cruelty, the ladykillers, no country for old men & a serious man.

  • MASTERPIECE !

  • your darn tootin

  • Or else we're gonna have to...yano...shoot ya!

I laughed so hard at this part my god, Buscemi is hilarious in this insane film

  • My parents are from MN (I know Fargo isnt in MN) but I hear shades of that speech. When I go up north I hear a few "oh-yah you betcha!'s" but this movie totally over-exaggerates it though - way way to much.

  • The mother of the Coen Brothers, Rena Coen, used to teach me art history at SCSU.

  • has anyone watching this video even ever heard someone from fargo talk? probably not! take it from someone who lives there tho that we do not sound like that its kinda funny how they made the movie like that but they did do a great job on covering the norwegian/german accent

  • Only one scene in the movie actually takes place in Fargo. The rest happens in Minnesota.

  • i didnt say it happened IN fargo... i was just saying that it all actually happened

  • your wrong also.....this movie was based on nothing true.....the statement before the movie was a lie......part of the coen brothers fuckin around with simpletons like you

  • kid... what dont u get? im from breckinridge, MN... and i live in fargo, ND which is about and hour away from branerd and my parents were alive when it happened it was all over the news and this movie was filmed about 9 years after it all happened... you dont go on the news and say there were how many murders and the murderers were caught and then say it was all fake... ur full of crap kid! u just dont understand do u?

  • you have been caught in a lie......deal with it

not a single event in this movie was based on a true event that occured anywhere near minnesota or north dakato.....FACT

and not a single scene was shot in fargo

SO........smack yourself and your parents if they are dead dig them up.....

because you and your parents are full of shit....wether you want to come to terms with it is besides the point....idiot

  • alright well im not gonna argue with someone like u since u sure think u know what ur talking about even tho somehow im wrong and so are my parents and everyone from minnesota and north dakota... oh another thing everyone up here is pretty much scandinavian and native american not austrian or netherlands

  • haha nice..

  • your wrong.......fact is NOT 1 SINGLE SCENE TAKES PLACE IN FARGO.....thats a fact....look it up, its in a book of facts i got for a x-mas gift....

so top talkin shit and get your facts correct kiddo

  • The opening scene - the one where Jerry hires Carl and Gaear - is in Fargo. So lick the darkest part of my ass.

  • It's chilling to think about how the man leaves the woman in the car to die. Can't believe it.

  • So it's better if both die? Can't believe that.

  • I have to agree on that...very underated movie! brill!

  • This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Unbelievable how little fanfare it got.

  • me too

  • What are you talking about, it was nominated for Best Picture.

  • This is one of the most engaging and intense movies ever. And the characters are just incredible. I can't believe how good it is.

  • Peter Stormare is a fucking badass.

  • 7.14 min of movie history.

  • "Just keep it still back there lady, or we're going to have to, you know... shoot you"

    LOL

  • haha best line in the movie.

  • Sorry, just one more point I want to make. 6:30 How many of you have wondered about this? You should. Why is this man running and leaving behind either his wife or daughter (assume a loved one)? This is very disturbing. Even more disturbing than the policeman shooting because it harkens back to Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick. You get what I'm saying? There's certain things in life that a "man" is expected to do. This is chilling because it speaks to human nature and a failure of masculinity.

  • maybe he was gonna dump her and he said "fuck it" after the car flips

  • women wanted equality, well its everyone for themselves now. sorry toots.

  • 3:10 IMO, this is the turning point in the movie. It's the point in the movie when you go "oh shit" that's the kind of movie this is going to be. Everyone's focused on the shooting but I think 3:10 is where you have a key reversal in the plot. "The point of recognition if you will."

Anyway. Great flick. 5 out of 5. Thanks for posting.

  • "Shut de fuck up."

  • This part is really gory there so much blood coming out of his head.

  • wat is that gun, a bren ten??

  • Looks like a desert eag.

  • it cant be; deagles dont have the barrel that extends past the slide

  • it just came out on blu ray, it looks amazing. sounds great too. what a great film. the cohens are beyond this world

  • "shut de FUCK UP, or i'll throw you back into the trunk you know...."

  • ahh shhhhhhhhhhhyet

  • pure fucking genius

  • At 5:46 Peter Stormare is swearing in Swedish. Lol

  • Haha he does the same in jurassic park 2

  • Haha "jävla fitta", I've never noticed that before.

  • Did Peter say "Jävla fitta" at 5:46?

  • Wow, that chasing scene is awesome!

  • I've gotta say, they got the dialect down pretty well. I live right between Fargo and Brainerd, so I hear it all the time. Some of the actors over-do the MN/ND accent, but Buscemi and Stormare have it down. I haven't seen the whole film yet, but it's been on my list for ages. Looks great.

  • beautifull direction !

  • "Alright, j-just just, keep it still back there lady or else we're gonna have to, you know, shoot ya."

  • watch the guy in the red run. most people who aren't from midwest don't know how hard it is to run in snow

  • This movie is awesome and sad at the same time.

I love it, but it makes me a bit sad.

  • Yes, it has a certain feeling to it that no other movie has...

  • "Whoa,Daddy." LOL Buscemi is sheer, unequivocal brilliance. Gotta love Stormare as well. They are both so extremely versatile yet we don't get to see that much of them. Two amazing actors and Hollywood wants to cram the likes of no talents hacks like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt down our throats. Would love to see these two team up again for another Coen Brothers film.

  • Definitely agreed there, Vin.

  • i agree but i wouldnt refer to brad pitt as no talent lol snatch

  • LOL Very good! Although I will admit, that was a pretty cool movie. Certainly not because of Pitt. LOL

  • ok fair enough, but also tom cruise in collateral i forgot to mention awesome piece of work

  • yes collateral is without a doubt Cruises best peformance. loved him as vincent - and

    Minority Report was good aswell.

and Pitt has some brilliant performances too, see Fight Club, spectacular movie, 12 Monkeys, Se7en, Snatch, and he was very good in the Coen's latest, burn after reading.

in reguards to the scene, i especialy like the segment in which stormare gives chase and the ominous music starts. really scary.

  • Nah. Pitt is very good. See "Assassination of Jesse James"

  • @VinBad007 well put...buscemi never disappoints...might be a stretch, but i even think that stormare could've possible played the role of anton in the coen bros' "no country for old men"

  • Not a stretch at all, Murph! Well said! Would have love to seen that role go to him, and what he might have done differently with it. Good call!

  • everything went downhill from here

  • i meant. Hail to the king, my bad

  • its kinda confusing to trying translate some words from swedish to english tho lol :P and i am swedish too. anyway. hail to the kill Peter Stormare

  • why is the wood chipper scene video rated 3.5 on youtube ?

  • Peter Stormare är kung! Peter Stormare is the king!

He really look´s like a psyko.. =) Maybee that´s why he always plays crazy characters like this hehe..

I´m from Sweden btw and "jävla fitta" means fucking cunt.. =)

  • Haha he says "jävla fitta" in swedish when chasing them...

  • Peter Stormare. Du är kungen. Some nice words there-Jävla fitta....

  • Ha Ha! He left that girl for dead in the flipped car.

  • uh no, he shot her.

  • i meant the driver.

  • Editing this film for TV was a crime.

  • If that guy in the car after the wreck was smart enough to use his energy to turn the car off and kill the lights maybe they would have both survivded, or at the least ran away far enough in time after they saw the car pass them by in the darkness.

    Too bad.

  • He says "Jävla fitta" when he's chasing the car. It means damn cunt in Swedish.

  • Gaear Grimsrud probably one of film's most underrated mass murderers. He said all of twenty words the whole movie but you could not play a maniacal sociopath better

  • That guy looks a LOT like Bruce Willis (I think you know which guy I'm talking about)

  • The funny looking guy?

Just kidding, yeah I can see what you mean.

  • I love how this guy (I forget his name cuz I'm an ass) gets the same thing coming to him at the end of the movie. Genius.

  • I can watch this movie over and over. It never gets old! One of the best ever.

  • This scene was filmed by my house! I remember watching the police lights flash from our living room window. I live in northeastern North Dakota, and it was a really warm winter so the filmmakers had to keep moving north to use areas with enough snow!

  • I just saw the movie and it's fuckin' brilliant.

What makes this one of the best movies of all time is the pure realism of it. It's not a comedy whatsoever, it's a movie about a particular, tragic, story (with a touching little morality tale at the end from that woman that makes you consider moving to a small town forever) that's as absolutely realistic in much of it's dialogue (so much so that it's more "speech" than "dialogue") as any great movie I've seen.

    It's a masterpiece.

    mnuez

  • wow daddy!

  • that fat boy just left his girlfriend in the car. what a POS

  • I love that movie soooo much!

  • His teeth are freaky...

  • Where exactly is that Paul Bunyan statue?

  • Spectacular! Very creative and original. I think this one is better than " No Country For Old Man" for sure. Steve and Peter made and icredible performance in this movie... perfect

  • That´s the best FARGO Scene, Stormare the Stone Cold Killer in there. Not only killing the cop, but afterwards chasing these Redneck Retards and killing them is priceless.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Bribing a cop with a $5 bill. AWESOME.

  • That's a 50.

  • damn that Grimsrud guy was crazy

  • I always thought the part where the cop got shot was hilarious. Which startles people for some reason. But it just seemed so random when I first saw it!

  • or else we'll hafta... ya know... to shoot ya

  • One of my favorite lines of the movie. I like it how after a few seconds he looks over at Grimsrud...as if he realized how unthreatening he sounded.

  • Yep..the same Colleges that choose your job for you, Isn't it fun to have a choice now?

  • Why dont the woman just scream like fucking mad ?

  • That's a dumb question considering she actually did scream, which just lead to the cop getting a bullet to the forehead.

  • not if she screamed loud enough to immediately get the cop's attention, instead of leaving the cop wondering whether he heard something in back. A scream - boom, half a second later, his weapon is drawn.

  • shut the fuck up or i'll throw you back into the trunk you know, hilarous

  • Best line in any movie ever:

"keep it still back there lady or else we're gonna have to, y'know, shoot ya" I laughed so hard the first time I heard that.

Grimsrud looks so much like a guy in my class, it's uncanny.

  • No hating on Peter or Swedes in general TIA.

  • She wasn't a little girl, she was an ugly bag of menopause that spoke wisconisinese.

  • hey keep it quiet or else well...u kno...well have to shoot u or sumthin..

  • whoa daddy

  • 05:45 thats swedish "jävla fitta" means "damn pussy" *proud* lol

  • Något vi ska vara stolta över!

  • "05:45 thats swedish "jävla fitta" means "damn pussy" *proud* lol"

Actually "jävla fitta" means fucking cunt!

  • 05:45 thats swedish "jävla fitta" means "damn pussy" *proud* lol

  • Never caught that before though

  • Oh wow haha

  • I'm embarrased, we do? Do you mean entire Scandinavia or just Sweden and Norway?

  • finland too,but denmark and iceland is fucked up idiots lol

  • Don't mess with Mr Sugar. :)

  • Mr. Sugar was one of the best villians in years as far as movies go.

  • Lesson to cop: crewcuts rule.

Lesson to kids: invest in 4WD.

  • i meant Gary Sinise

  • the officer ho dies look like gary sinece!

  • Have you ever been to Europe?

  • Blocked sulliman because nobody wants to hear your inane ramblings on why you hate Scandinavians, who are better than you (not because you're American - I am too, but because you're annoying and stupid).

  • Scandinavians are better than everyone.

  • Whoa daddy

  • shut the fuck up donnie !

  • Whoa daddy is right. Guy kills people like he's swatting flies.

  • Gotta love Burwell's score. So fitting! If anyone else had written it, it would not have been as great.

  • wow dady, watta great scene

  • poor police man:S

  • minnesoda talk norwegian peacouse many of the people there have a norwegian in the family. the big statue in the begining is a typical norwegian statue!

  • I'm from Fargo. We don't say Yeah, Ya Know or you betcha. I do like the move though Eh!

  • i love steve buscemi hes comical when he gets shot in the face.

  • Steve is my hero
