Jesus never said he was the son of God. He is a prophet. God is too great and free from having children. He was not killed, but God lifted him to the heavens before they could kill him. Many prophets had powers and were able to do things more superior than Jesus. Adam didn't have a father or mother, why isn't he claimed as being the son of God.

@carpnter2000 christianity stems from judaism as does islam as does ba'hai, both christianity and islam have contributed LARGELY to make the world what it is today. And all three religions go back - all being stemmed from judaism - at LEAST 6000 years and have always had objections similar to yours yet have stood the test of time.......i don't think they're going anywhere...

the problem the church has with altering books is that if another copy exist in some clay jar and it was discovered with different text in a known book they would be dead. so altering text is very risky. if the book was made up in the first place then no worries.

These books are teachings from thousands of teachers and have been tested and proven. Some smart person once said that humans have been around for thousands of years, chances are that someone before us have been through the same problems and have written a book about it. These two ancient manuscripts are "The Tao Te Ching" and the "Dhammapada".

@mad4them Cool. You can find out more about his teachings in the Lost gospels that were discovered and read about Jesus' lost years for a complete picture. Jesus' teachings are similar the buddha's teachings. the core teaching in all religion is pretty much the same, because most religions have the same root. The main teaching is to love your enemies and to not treat people the way you wouldn't want to be treated... I recommend checking out Jesus' lost years and then Buddha's teachings.

Jesus was human and divine just like the rest of us. Seems to me that this is exactly what he was trying to get us to understand by loving everyone without prejudice. We all make mistakes (sin) and we need to learn the lesson of forgiveness - let he who has never sinned cast the first stone - yet so many so-called christians are constantly throwing stones .... Everyone deserves love. Love is the only thing that heals and restores one to his true nature. Condems the act, not the person.

Your body came into existence and it will eventually go back to where it came from. The body grows old and yet your consciousness never gets older. If you are willing to look, you will find something in you which is timeless. You exist, but not as a separate entity.

Jesus never said he was the son of God. He is a prophet. God is too great and free from having children. He was not killed, but God lifted him to the heavens before they could kill him. Many prophets had powers and were able to do things more superior than Jesus. Adam didn't have a father or mother, why isn't he claimed as being the son of God.

Except he himself said he was not God but rather was sent by God and spoke of what he had seen and said what he was sent to say by the one who sent him. How can you then even mildly consider him God ? Jesus always referred to God as his Father , and himself as the Son. Let me ask you , when you talk about your father , are you talking about yourself ? Are you and your father the same being ? But you do come from him , and in that sense , are like him , right ? Jesus was clear , he is God's Son.

@carpnter2000 christianity stems from judaism as does islam as does ba'hai, both christianity and islam have contributed LARGELY to make the world what it is today. And all three religions go back - all being stemmed from judaism - at LEAST 6000 years and have always had objections similar to yours yet have stood the test of time.......i don't think they're going anywhere...

How can anyone say or even subtly suggest that Jesus did not feel the pain. The prophesies also said and they were fulfilled that god took the form of a human being - which means he felt everything that humans felt but his spirit was divine. Dear friends we are but mortals with very limited information and knowledge. As we must keep alive our quest for the truth, let us not forget the difference between assumed knowledge and wisdom. There is a prophecy about false teachings. Beware. God bless

Youre in denial, you can't accept that the bible was put to a vote. An engineered religion to gain the most popularity, and social engineering by scholarly oligarchs.
Before saying that, you should actually read the lost gospels, since your bible has such limited information about Christianity.

Women were prophetesses and servants of God as is written... Jesus had life because He was resurrected. Like other verses say we will not die but have eternal life... But we ALL still die... We will be resurrected and have eternal life...

the problem the church has with altering books is that if another copy exist in some clay jar and it was discovered with different text in a known book they would be dead. so altering text is very risky. if the book was made up in the first place then no worries.

its a shame that men (an woman) lie and have changed the bible so many times to fit their own agenda. Religion does that. Spirituality goesnt. I wish i could trust the bible, but even the old testament has been altered. if everyone is born stained with sin, and to accept Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation, why does the church teach i need them for salvation? why do they need so much money?
