i have x300 SE and I think it's horrible for the latest games, even older ones are a bit crap to play on using this card. I'm going to upgrade to a geforce 8500 GT card soon. It's going to be such a big jump from crappy radeon x300.
big jump indeed, but the 8500 GT is still not really up to todays games. You'd be a lot happier with a 9600 GT or even a 8800 GT in the long run. Seeing you posted this 2 months ago however, I guess you already purchased the 8500 GT.

yep you're right. i didn't really regret it. the rest of my pc is not in par with an 8800GT, so the 8500GT was probably the best card i could have got anyway, without it being limited by other factors such as the processor or PSU.
i bought more RAM and source runs fine... as long as you have a graphics card and some RAM you can run source... I am upgrading to a Radeon HD 4850 tho : )

i got this card 3-5 years ago and i cannot play crossfire or runescape in hd. it crashes my pc.
its not the best but for halo it works ok...

then i usually average around 30-50 fps...
