I received my Glide yesterday, but experienced a 33% reduction in both 3G and Wifi reception after I installed it. After a couple of hours of testing, comparing the Glide, with the Apple bumper and naked; while using my wife's 3GS as a control group, I concluded that the Glide was making contact with the 4S antenna. I am returning it, but still feel that the design is elegant and the overall fit and finish truly amazing and hope that the issue is limited only the bumper that I received.
whats the difference between the at&t iphone and the verizon iphone? which one is better?(im from australia and we dont have the verizon and at&t services)
@larrygreenberg If the case is causing your thin screen protector to "buckle up" as you said (and almost immediately), I seriously doubt it would fit over a fully protected device that has ghost armor on it.
Also, how would it "fit" or "snap" together w/o sides?!? You said you thought it may fit minus the sides, but ALL pcs are needed to enable it to lock together, correct?
@PhoneyNo I said it would fit with a fully body skin - minus the side pieces of the skin. Meaning you'd be able to use it with a front and back shield only.
This will not protect the phone from drops at all, the sides would just unclip on contact. Good Idea but defeats the whole object of a case if you ask me
Yeah, there are other MUCH STURDIER aluminum bumper cases that would hold together on a drop/etc. Some of the others are SCREWED together, so initially I'm thinking that this product will NOT get off the ground.
will the phone stand on its own with the case on? Also, does the metal feel solid, or does it feel like it will bend out of shape once you drop it on a hard surface?
Excellent review video and very impressive bumper case. I hope that the project stays viable. As of this date, do you know if the case has been released? I plan to preorder in two weeks, when I order my AT&T 4S. Conceptually, it's the best minimalist case on the market and if there are no reception issues... should sweep the market. Would you advise using it without front and back screen shields?
Hey Larry! This comment is not related to the product, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents on your review style. DON'T change it!!! You've tried out another review style which honestly I did not like. They're too short and almost everyone is doing that. The format you currently use is really good, you delve into all aspects of the item you are reviewing which is why people watch your videos. Good luck with your future videos.
@larrygreenberg Thanks! I really like their bumper too. I've been looking for a good bumper. I like the slim feel of a bumper vs. a full case. I've never used their products but they seem great from the videos I've watched. Thanks again Larry.
Hey Larry, do you feel it is seems like a high quality case? I liked the element cases but event those where kinda too bulky, that case looks like a great alternative to a slim aluminium bumper style case.
This is very unique in its own way. I am all up for new things when it comes to cases. I like the concept and yes colors would attract more people towards this. Well detailed review.
Hi Larry,I can see this taking off if i'm honest,Everyone including me is looking for the ultimate metal bumper,What i mean by this is the fact that it's going to be Thin,Stylish,Good looking,Practical. Be it that the bumper is as thin as it is & maybe a little fiddly to get on the phone from the start,Once on it's going to give.. for a better word "The Minimalist" look & feel that ppl are wanting. Plus the fact that it's going to have the custom design of being able to change colours eventually
@n4w1d34 Correct. Did you watch the video? As I said, this prototype is only for the AT&T 4. The future version will fit both versions of the 4 and the 4s.
@larrygreenberg Oh Cool! a while back i saw a video where they dropped and iPhone for with out a case from 8ft and it survived so what ever still an awesome case.
how did you do that on your home button?, pleasee answerr
