  • Ceaselessly in contact with foreign elements which threatened to strangle her, she persevered victoriously in absorbing them, assimilating them and enriching herself with them. Thus she has seen the Greeks, the Scythians, the Afghans, the Mongols to pass before her eyes in succession and is regarding with indifference the Englishmen - confident to pursue under the accidence of the surface the normal course of her high destiny.

    - Sylvain Levi (French Orientalist)

  • The multiplicity of the manifestations of the Indian genius as well as their fundamental unity gives India the right to figure on the first rank in the history of civilized nations. Her civilization, spontaneous and original, unrolls itself in a continuous time across at least thirty centuries, without interruption, without deviation.

    - Sylvain Levi (French Orientalist)

  • And then India appears to me in all the living power of her originality. I traced her progress in the expansion of her enlightenment over the world. I saw her giving her laws, her customs, her morale, her religion to Egypt, to Persia, to Greece and Rome. I saw Jaiminy and Veda Vyasa precede Socrates and Plato, and Krishna, the son of the Virgin Devajani precede the son of the Virgin of Bethelehem.

    - Louis Francois Jacolliot (French diplomat & author)

  • Ancient civilizations of Greece, Egypt and Rome have all disappeared from this world, but the elements of our civilization still continue. Although world-events have been inimical to us for centuries, there is something in our civilization which has withstood these onslaughts.

    - Allama Iqbal (Indian philosopher & poet)

  • Whatever sphere of the human mind you may select for your special study, whether it be language, or religion, or mythology, or philosophy, whether it be law or customs, primitive art or primitive science, everywhere you have to go to India, whether you like it or not, because some of the most valuable and instructive materials of the history of man are treasured up in India and India only.

    - Friedrich Maximilian Mueller ( German philologist )

  • contd (2 of 2)...

the more when we remember that it escaped the genius of Archimedes and Appollnius, two of the greatest men produced by antiquity.

    - Pierre Simon de Laplace ( French mathematician & philosopher)

  • It is India that gave us the ingenious method of expressing all numbers by ten symbols, each receiving a value of position as well as an absolute value, a profound and important idea which appears so simple to us now that we ignore its true merit. But its very simplicity, the great ease which it has lent to all computations, puts our arithmetic in the first rank of useful inventions, and we shall appreciate the grandeur of this achievement

  • There has been no more revolutionary contribution than the one which the Hindus (Indians) made when they invented zero. ~~~ Lancelot Hogben (English mathematician)

  • This is the ancient land, where wisdom made its home before it went into any other country Here is the same India whose soil has been trodden by the feet of the greatest sages that ever lived Look back, therefore, as far as you can, drink deep of the eternal fountains that are behind, and after that look forward, march forward, and make India brighter, greater, much higher, than she ever was. ~~~ Swami Vivekananda (Indian philosopher)

  • CONTD (2 OF 2)

If these things were known by the people who think that they alone have mastered the sciences because they speak Greek, they would perhaps be convinced that every folk, not only Greeks, but men of a different tongues, know something as well as they.

    -Severus Sebokbt (Bishop ,Syrian astronomer)

  • I shall now speak of the knowledge of the Hindus...of their subtle discoveries even more ingenious than those of the Greeks and Babylonians - of their rational system of mathematics or of their method of calculation which no word can praise strongly enough - I mean the system using the nine symbols.

All history points to India as the mother of science and art,This country was anciently so renowned for knowledge and wisdom that the philosophers of Greece did not disdain to travel thither for their improvement. ~~~William Macintosh

  • @Einstien121

"We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made!"

    Albert Einstein

  • @MrSeekerofjustice i am not talking about counting now am I ? oh and counting ? the abacus has been used for your so called "counting" from about 3000BC . What the indian mathematician did was simply assign a symbol to the actual base of counting . which i think was inevitable . so they didnt "teach" us how to count , we've been doing that for a long long time . they only taught us how to represent those numbers . (not that i dont appreciate this, i only think its fucked up they worship animals)

  • @Einstien121

You are wrong... I used to think the exact same way.... It was the Indians that taught us the number system.... The Indian number system pre - dates the abacus.... Do your research... It is common knowledge outside of America an Australia....

  • @MrSeekerofjustice No dude you are wrong. they taught us the symbols that represent the actual numbers.

the record of the usage of abacus is from about 3000BC. actual usage may be much older. scientists speculate the first known use of numbers back to around 35000 BC.The first known system with place value was the Mesopotamian base 60 system (3400BC) and and the earliest known base 10 system dates to 3100 BC in Egypt. And indian mathematics emerged in about 400 AD to 1200 AD. Go do YOUR research

  • @Einstien121

The vedas pre - date even the babylonians and the mesopotamians.... Th Indians invented the number system... "The Hindu systems of astronomy are by far the oldest and that from which the Egyptians, Greek, Romans and - even the Jews derived from the Hindus their knowledge.

    - Jean Sylvain Bailly (French astronomer)

Don't get fooled by the western media dude.... Where are you from?

  • @MrSeekerofjustice Well i think you should provide credible proof with your statement or in this case a french astronomer who's been dead for 2 centuries . much has changed since then . even Einstein calculated that blackholes dont exist but he was wrong after all , he was a human being . since the last 2 centuries much has changed and a lot more has been known .

oh and the rig veda which was compiled around 1000BCE is the oldest known veda i'll post the rest of the comment in other reply

  • @MrSeekerofjustice and babylonia emerged in 1696–1654 BC and the indigenous Sumerians and Akkadians (including Assyrians and Babylonians) dominated Mesopotamia from the beginning of written history (c.3100BC) therefore your precious french astronomer was wrong.

And your accusing the western media to be wrong . dude you are messed up . check the everything i say on wikipedia . its all true . india is given wayy more credit than it deserves . oh and stop posting quotaions from ancient people

  • @Einstien121

    contd (2 of 2)

What I am telling you is common knowledge in France, holland, germany and of course, India and the rest of asia! I really don't want to insult you cuz you have been used.... you have been manipulated to such an extent that you have a mythological euro - centric view of world history.... I strongly suggest that you read this book called "Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong" by James Loewen! India IS the greatest civilization!

  • @Einstien121

That is the point I am trying to make. The entire western media is controlled by America and to a much lesser extent, the UK! Most of what you read about history in american text books is baloney! And dude, "WIKIPEDIA???" Seriously??? Wikipedia is just another tool of the west! It has already been banned in many countries cuz it just promotes America's agenda!!! What you read in Wikipedia has been edited by unprofessional people who know nothing about history!

    contd (1 of 2)

  • @MrSeekerofjustice Well i hate to break it to you but wikipedia is a non-profit website . the one sole purpose of making it was for allowing people to get information quickly and efficiently . and your now accusing the western media to be in control of everything . As far as i know Wikipedia needed 13 millions dollars of donation from the users for the purpose of maintaining their domain . And tell me which countries banned wikipedia for promoting american agenda .

    Coutinued.....

  • @MrSeekerofjustice And if Wikipedia is edited by unprofessional people , then how come it gives a really accurate description of some of the most complicated physical and chemical phenomenon such as the Colour charge of the gluons . meta-materials and their possible usability for cloaking , and furthermore some concepts that even i don't understand . You haven't proven me wrong in any of the dates i have given you then how can you say i am wrong if even you don't know them ?

    Continued.....

  • @Einstien121

I am talking about history "exclusively" dude. Wikipedia does its best to promote the interests of America's current political climate!! It also promotes "white supremacy" (I am white myself) through unfair editing and manipulation of historical events. for example, wikipedia publishes historical facts only up to european colonisation! They don't publish any of the events that occurred before that! N the Vedas were compiled in 3500 bc. (Much before Babylonia or sumer). Used fool!

  • @MrSeekerofjustice ok tell me any recorded event that you know of which is unavailable on wikipedia . or it might be just a matter of time before it is posted on the website . America does not use Wikipedia for these kind of purposes . if it were then there would be a massive amount of people talking about it and filing lawsuits against it .

And if you claim that wikipedia is unfairly edited , then how do you know your sources are a 100% true ?

    Logical Fallacy: Argument from Ignorance

  • @Einstien121

Q: And if you claim that wikipedia is unfairly edited , then how do you know your sources are a 100% true?

A: I have read books written by non - americans & non - westerners and all these books agree upon the same historical facts. I have also personally studied the vedas (I am just giving u an eg) under a teacher and I know how old the vedas are. They pre - date even the Greeks! You will be surprised to learn that Pythagoras and Plato were students in India!! Go verify!

    contd

  • @MrSeekerofjustice sorry i was away for the time. It was the standard belief in antiquity that Pythagoras had undertaken extensive travels, and had visited not only Egypt, but Arabia, Phoenicia, Judaea, Babylon, and even India, for the purpose of collecting all available knowledge, and especially to learn information concerning the secret or mystic cults of the gods . all these places to ' LEARN ' . doesnt specify mathematics .

  • @Einstien121

    contd

Well... NONE of the articles in Wikipedia mention that the Indian civilization was the wealthiest in the world up until the seventeenth century. It is common knowledge in the rest of the world. Log on to the cia world factbook and look for China. It says that China "stood as a leading civilization for centuries" when the fact is that China was always second to the Indian civilization! They have deliberately glorified the Chinese cuz the US owes China lots of cash!

  • @MrSeekerofjustice you think that if they are Americans they are wrong ? just because you read you read books written by non american and non westerners doesnt mean that they are true . and it doesnt mean that if they agree on historical facts then the all the books remotely western are inferior and doesnt prove them wrong .

oh and if it is so common how come a hell-load of my friends (non-western ones) dont know about that .

you are racist . deliberately despising americans ?

  • @Einstien121

The trouble with people is not that they don't know but that they know so much that ain't so.

    -Josh Billings

  • @MrSeekerofjustice isnt josh billings western ? how come you use a western mans quote to prove your point when you think that western community is wrong . i know that there are some nasty things done by america .but its always the politician never the normal community . just because some of the leaders are bad doesnt mean that you should hate the entire community . oh and there is a difference between "LEADING" and "WEALTHY"

doesnt even specify the time period of the centuries. go figure

  • @Einstien121

I don't hate anyone. It is a waste of time. India led the world when it came to medicine, arts, science, astronomy and metaphysics! So, I guess that makes them THE leading civilization in the history of mankind! The Europeans themselves learnt about mathematics after some dude translated the vedas into latin! And the reason I use western quotes to make my point is cuz they will appeal to you, as a westerner, a lot more than quotes by Indians! Here is a quote that proves my point:

  • @Einstien121

India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy.

    contd... ( 1 of 2)

  • @Einstien121

    contd... (2 of 2)

Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all. Nothing should more deeply shame the modern student than the recency and inadequacy of his acquaintance with India.... This is the India that patient scholarship is now opening up like a new intellectual continent to that Western mind which only yesterday thought civilization an exclusive Western thing.

    -Will Durant (American philosopher)

  • @Einstien121

If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India!

    - Romaine Rolland (French writer)

  • @Einstien121

Civilizations have arisen in other parts of the world. In ancient and modern times, wonderful ideas have been carried forward from one race to another...But mark you, my friends, it has been always with the blast of war trumpets and the march of embattled cohorts. Each idea had to be soaked in a deluge of blood..... Each word of power had to be followed by the groans of millions, by the wails of orphans, by the tears of widows.

    contd.... (1 of 2)

  • @Einstien121

This, many other nations have taught; but India for thousands of years peacefully existed. Here activity prevailed when even Greece did not exist... Even earlier, when history has no record, and tradition dares not peer into the gloom of that intense past, even from until now, ideas after ideas have marched out from her, but every word has been spoken with a blessing behind it and peace before it.

sorry contd (2 of 3) again!!!

  • @Einstien121

We, of all nations of the world, have never been a conquering race, and that blessing is on our head, and therefore we live!

    -Swami Vivekananda (Indian philosopher)

  • @Einstien121

Where can we look for sages like those whose systems of philosophy were prototypes of those of Greece: to whose works Plato, Thales and Pythagorus were disciples? Where do I find astronomers whose knowledge of planetary systems yet excites wonder in Europe as well as the architects and sculptors whose works claim our admiration,

    contd.... (1 of 2)

  • @Einstien121

and the musicians who could make the mind oscillate from joy to sorrow, from tears to smile with the change of modes and varied intonation?

    -Colonel James Todd (American pioneer)

  • @Einstien121

I am convinced that everything has come down to us from the banks of the Ganges, - astronomy, astrology, metempsychosis,.. It is very important to note that some 2,500 years ago at the least Pythagoras went from Samos to the Ganges to learn geometry...But he would certainly not have undertaken such a strange journey had the reputation of the Brahmins' science not been long established in Europe...

    - Francois Marie Arouet Voltaire (French writer and philosopher)

  • @Einstien121

Whatever sphere of the human mind you may select for your special study, whether it be language, or religion, or mythology, or philosophy, whether it be law or customs, primitive art or primitive science, everywhere you have to go to India, whether you like it or not, because some of the most valuable and instructive materials of the history of man are treasured up in India and India only.

-Friedrich Maximilian Mueller ( German philologist )

  • @Einstien121 India is eternal. Though the beginnings of her numerous civilizations go so far back in time that they are lost in the twilight of history, she has the gift of perpetual youth. Her culture is ageless and is as relevant to this present 20th century as it was to the 20th century before Christ.

    - Nani Ardeshir Palkhiwala ( Indian lawer & philanthropist)

  • @Einstien121

India had the start of the whole world in the beginning of things. She had the first civilization; she had the first accumulation of material wealth; she was populous with deep thinkers and subtle intellects; she had mines, and woods, and a fruitful soul.

    - Mark Twain (American playwright)

  • @MrSeekerofjustice and if what you are telling me is common knowledge , then give me some proof .

Now as far as i remember we were discussing about vedas . which you said predated babylonia and mesopotemia, i proved that you were wrong . where did you even get that in the first place the the vedas predated them ? where do you get all this information . you are just against America and i am talking about the actual history.

soon as the world oil reserves are depleted , Americas gonna fall ..HARD

  • @Einstien121

N lemme correct a mistake I made in my previous comment - The vedas were compiled in 5000 BC or earlier.

  • @MrSeekerofjustice You know whats the funny part . if you search ' oldest veda compilation ' on google and select the first result . its an indian site and it says that historians have found the rig veda to be around 1200BC . it is the oldest veda right ? where do you get all this wrong information anyway ? now i think you will accuse of india being and manipulated by western power ?

  • @Einstien121

    seva(.)sulekha(.)com/blog/post/2006/08/how-old-are-the-vedas-and-who-can-read-them(.)htm

Remove the brackets around the dots and log on to this website

  • @Einstien121

If you can't log on, just google the link..... That website will answer all you need to know....

  • @MrSeekerofjustice Some random guys blog is right and indias own website and an army of historians is wrong ?

you are just not gonna admit . even after all the proof . The same so called 'historians have declared the rig veda to be around 1200BC.

.And where in wikipedia does it support white supremacy? i havent seen one single sentence that gives an impression like that . which world do you live in WAKE up. if they were promoting white supremacy then there would be a thousand lawsuits against it

  • LOL once again, India fails.

  • yep..... it's true, because Russia supports space- and nuclear technologys

  • I'm telling you all guy, we Indian have the best rocket technology in the world, better than America. The America stole all the technology from India. But, It is true Indian is very poor, many people don't have food to eat, no clothes to wear, but we are proud than you all American as fatty pig.

  • @seebuslove Lolz. You sound funny. America didnt know ur rocket technology uses Turmeric & Red chilli powder in rocket. That makes best curry. You guys make gud firecrackers that doesn't last long.

  • According to CSI and FBI of America, India is not launching the rocket, but actually is playing the fireworks on the holiday of Christmas to have happy hours for all Indians. It is true, confirmed by the President of America Obama. Call me for more info : 00-837-3347-8573.

  • @MrRyuzaki91 HOw dumb of you! I'm not a jap asshole.. I'm a filipino, stick that to your little chinese brain... You said many filipinos are well renowned for being a nation of servants.. You know, I don't really have a problem with that, because we work and earn legally, Not like you chinese... Chinese are the drug dealers of asia, you are the source of drugs here in asia... You are also the manufacturer of fake and pirated products in the world.. The chinese triads are the trash of society..

  • @amildas nope.

  • Possibly, the connectors were not properly installed by Indian technicians.

  • @wolfganggangwolfe He is working for Americans :)

  • Aiyo, A Ma, A pah, our rocket have gone boom?? How da?? Rupee gone , how?

  • It looks like that the thermal insulation at the Head is insufficient,it is catching fire without any reason means may be due to air friction.

  • Would politicians spend even 1 rupee of their own money to launch the

the rockets? No way ! Since they are using tax payers money, failure is an option to them. It is called learning stage. Success on the other hand boost their political standing. Same concept applies for those so called companies top management .

  • no cow piss to the engine ?

  • what I didnt like is how the media covered the event...the just cut off to that radar thing.

when the challenger exploded with 7 people in it, the news crew stayed professional and kept on rolling..constantly notifying the audience about all the information they were getting

Something continued to maintain trajectory as seen on the mission plot .. weird.
