There's no way to know how far into each turn the "FS" can see so it's hard to comment on his riding or to assess the danger to himself or on-coming riders. What is more than clear is that the "following" bike is following way too close, and doesn't pass when he has opportunities. I've been at the Tail of the Dragon and it hasn't been my experience. Every bike/car/truck I have caught up to let me by the first chance they got after they noticed me. My experience was made very pleasant by the rule of the road over there to let the faster rider/driver by and I made it a point to join in on it.
Why can't you people get over yourselves? The dragon is a very rural road that makes it much SAFER for speeding then most roads with heavier traffic. As long as a person doesn't cross the yellow line, looks far enough ahead of them, and doesn't get to the absolute limit in turns, I don't see the problem.

There's no way to know how far into each turn the "FS" can see so it's hard to comment on his riding or to assess the danger to himself or on-coming riders. What is more than clear is that the "following" bike is following way too close, and doesn't pass when he has opportunities. This unnecessarily pressurizes the situation increasing the chances for an accident. In retrospect, I'd say the guy following has more than earned the title, Fuck Stick!

Hmm. Both riders demonstrate why perfectly reasonable riders with more than sufficient skill often poke through the gap hugging the white line. I generally do, and still catch up to some folks. Really, it's gotten to the point where I wouldn't drive the road if I didn't have business in Robbinsville - some of us use it for travel, not fun! Of course, it's fun anyway. Ditto on HabuBeemer!

I wouldn't want to be either of the persons in the vid. The lead rider could be a new rider but is awfully dangerous. The following rider is an arrogant asshole with an attitude and just as poor riding skills. Wheelies, crossing the yellow line, too fast, too close, trying to pass on the right, etc. The only thing this video illustrates is how dangerous the Dragon can be if you aren't riding "head up" and paying attention to the situation around you and what an obnoxious prick the poster is.

I've been at the Tail of the Dragon and it hasn't been my experience. Every bike/car/truck I have caught up to let me by the first chance they got after they noticed me. My experience was made very pleasant by the rule of the road over there to let the faster rider/driver by and I made it a point to join in on it.

Why can't you people get over yourselves? The dragon is a very rural road that makes it much SAFER for speeding then most roads with heavier traffic. As long as a person doesn't cross the yellow line, looks far enough ahead of them, and doesn't get to the absolute limit in turns, I don't see the problem.
