Blackberry storm New Software Version

I'm not really trying to keep up. I just want my screen to rotate when i turn it to get the full keypad cause it isn't turning. I am not really an electronics guy so i do not know how to upgrade it myself

OS 4.7.0.132 is what i use (not the newest but newer than most) and it fixes slowness and locking up... no problems since my upgrade... msg me for instructions...

thought id let everyone one know that i got my BBStorm about a month ago and all they had me upgrade to was .075. nothing has been officially release since then but i reccommend upgrading to .113 its much nicer.

i heard that in late december or the beginning or janruary, verizon updated the BB storm to get rid of all the lags and bugs in the system. is this true?

No, I got mine a week ago and it is still buggy and lags, especially when trying to run scripts in the web browser.

sorry for double post but i thought i should mention this. why not just wait for the official firmware update? i mean does .75 suck that bad?

official firmware released by verizon sucks. I dont think they will ever make a firmware that is good enough to not upgrade. And 3rd party developers create better firmware than verizon or RIM could ever make. And yeah, .75 sucks SO bad. Theres like a 3 second difference between the speed/accelerometer. Im running .103 and the accelerometer is literally instant where as .75 takes like 3 seconds after you turned the phone to bring up the menu in landscape mode. .75 sucks. Period.

press the background to bring up the full black list

click the blackberry button ( the one with the little grapevine looking thing) and press options

change it there =)

My phone works great. It fixed all the bugs and lags. If you downloaded the .85 and it does not work, then you did something wrong.

I would wait for the official release of the firware to be released. Be patient and confident that RIM & Verizon will release a better OS; they can't afford not to. I'm sure they are aware of all the negative buzz circulating and it's in their best interest to get the best OS update. They haven't released it yet because these BETA versions are full of bugs that they need to perfect and fix before releasing it to phones that carry WARRANTIES. Get it? Download this stuff at your own risk!!

not exactly. The past releases from other software developers on crackberry have been the same thing verizon released, just verizon released it later.

Right but these versions are all test versions; they still have bugs just like the .75 version so is it really worth installing "at your own risk"? I think not. I am pretty sure Verizon will go with the best version for a new update...I can live with the .75 until then and they will release it most likely before their March app store launch

Yeah, but i doubt they will release this version. This is 3 versions beyond the current. its goes from verizons .75 right now, to .76, .83, and .85 ( my version )
