If you still cant get them to show through you may be holding to much water. Cut out the sodium as much as possible because it makes you hold water and that makes your skin look loose

Yes I do train through sore body parts. One thing is that when you hit body parts or movements with more frequency, there is less DOMS (soreness). I split my workouts into vertical pull/ push, horizontal push/ pull and lower body (either quad dominant or hip dominant movements and accessories). Each of these workouts I try to do at least twice per week. Once in awhile I will do arms alone and lately have been throwing in a day where anything goes... oly lift, complexes or just abs.
@timbahwolf Yeah, i assisted one of my professors (i am studying for my masters in Exercise Science) conduct a test on DOMS affect on performance, and it actually has little to not affect (the study is not published yet, we are doing all the write ups and red tape stuff, but we tested a few hundred individuals) so As long as you are recovering from each workout, then working through "soreness" is usually a good thing as DOMS actually decreases with further exercise for some individuals!
Close to 30 years. I started working out when I was 12 or 13. Wasn't as consistent in my 20's but after 30, have only missed 2 weeks in a row. Even then, did callisthenics, shadowboxed and skipped. Its just about consistency.

When you train your push / pull vertical and horizontal alternate days, are you training sets to failure? If so, on low reps 4-6, or higher 10-12?
Some of your longer controlled labs vids show low reps but not what I'd consider maxed out on the last rep? (or you hide the pain well)

I do these all the time. I set the bar at about 18-24in. Its great for burn outs at the end of chest day. Gets some stares in the gym too.

@djbryce It's an explosive movement rather than a slow controlled movement. It activates fast-twitch muscle fibers.
Doing explosive movements like these increase how fast your muscles react. Or how fast you're able to "explode" through a movement.
