The thing about the gate is that it's actually open when the level starts, and is only later closed by a flipmap. However, I skipped that trigger. To open the turnstiles, you need to pick up the coin that appears after using the maintenance key. Use this coin to buy a ticket at the beginning of the level. The ticket will give you access beyond the gate.

great run. nice to see some path improvements from MMAN's and radxxryan's aldwych. i'm looking forward to see your other runs, too. the antarctica levels are my favourite part of the game.

are you going to run the assault course, too?

All Hallows is definitely on the list, but I haven't really given the Assault Course much thought... I'll be sure take a look at it. Watched your go at it just now, and I thought it was very good.

How did you skip that ticket part??

After picking up the first Solomon's Key, I turn back and make that jump through the little hole. This apparently skips a trigger that closes the turnstiles, so I don't need the Ticket at all, because they'll already be open!

However, I still need to use the Maintenance Key and press the button there, because it triggers a flipmap much later in the level. If I didn't press it, I would run into an invisible wall later as a result.

If you see Ryan's run, you'll see he skips the Ticket too. :)
