Once a believer makes a covenant of marriage, even if the marriage was a second marriage that initiated by adultery, the only choice for biblical obendience is to repent and turn to God and stay married. She is not a perpetual adulterer. She is a child of the One True God who is rich in mercy, who by the way, shows His mercy in a direct proportion to how we show mercy. If God forgives, and He does and did, she is made clean and stands before Him as if she never sinned. What an awesome God!!

Once a believer makes a covenant of marriage, even if the marriage was a second marriage that initiated by adultery, the only choice for biblical obendience is to repent and turn to God and stay married. She is not a perpetual adulterer. She is a child of the One True God who is rich in mercy, who by the way, shows His mercy in a direct proportion to how we show mercy. If God forgives, and He does and did, she is made clean and stands before Him as if she never sinned. What an awesome God!!

I have but one question for you all. Do you wish to debate doctrine or believe in the Lord our God. The bottom line is our God is love and love is God. Jesus came to earth in human from and died for our sins, both Jew and Gentile alike. To accept his forgiveness we only need to accept him for what he is and what he did for us. How easy is that? Since you seem to have a rudimentary knowledge of the text try reading it in context, next time. I would not follow a dictator, God gives us free will to obey Him or flesh or satan, & those actions lead to their own reward. Then bitter people people blame God for not controlling all the bad things. You have free will too. If blaming peoples past on the present was wrong for God to do then why are you doing it now? God does not tell people to kill babies. That is a lie from the master of hate.

@exodus21v20 It also said that the Amalekites and the other nations often sacraficed their own children. which is backed by most discoveries of ancient civilizations and that Israel was to get rid of them before they taught these evil practices to their children. if they had left them they would have died and taught Israel to do these practices. so the kids probably would have died anyway. only at their parents hand. kinda gross

I am a Christian and have never criticized Jews for what they believe. They hold to the new testament as do I. I have acknowledged that they do not accept Christ as their savior, but I do not criticize them for it. I know that in prophecy, God will reveal that his Son Jesus is in fact their Messiah. In the meantime, I believe the Jews are still God's chosen people to reveal His will to the world. Christians that know their bible would never criticize them.

I do know that the Christians in church wince at hearing Amy Grant's name. She did taint her name with some thing stupid and perhaps it was a scandal that you mention I know there was some mess up in her part. I just wanted to hear the song and I don't know for sure just yet if it was Amy who sang the version I am looking for or not.
The version I heard was not this one. What I am looking for was better done.

Well remember that this is a live performace, it may explain why it may sound different if Grant was the singer you heard. Grant's original album version of this song is the most famous recording in Contemporary Christian music history. Michael Card (i belive the orginal writer) also did a popular version, but i guess you could tell a guy from a woman lol. If you are thinking of another version it must have been a rather low profile version.

Ha...that just goes to show that if you are going to profess Christianity you better live by the Book or else everyone will view you as a hypocrite.God is not a God of compromise...he wont compromise his Word for Amy Grant or anyone else who profess to know him and love him but yet live sinful and adulterous lives.

And if you are going to LIVE Christianity you have to admit that you CAN'T live by the Book without flubbing it up all the time. That's why Christ came...as a ransom for many. You're correct in saying that God does not compromise God's Word and if we were all perfect we wouldn't need the Word OR God - we would be God. Admitting that we are not God, but human and subject to sin is what frees us to accept our ransom set up for us BY GOD before time began.

Nice song - pity she is not worthy to sing it. Her so-called Christianity is a sham, only a vehicle for her career. Her godless lifestyle and adulterous life is well documented and has reduced her Christian witness to zero. I have yet to hear that she has repented of her public shameful sin.

Amy Grant's music she drew more people to God than any other musician in history. Her music is all positive, and the people who criticize her or some of her music are not the real cristians. Halloranhill should stop wasting the time God has given to him to belittle others and use it to be a healer rather than a critic.
