adjustible throttle? u guys talking about speeding up your craft? if u hold R2 u go faster . if u hold L2 you will eventully stop and your wheels will go back down.to go faster use afterburns and hold R2 you will pick up speed. if i was completly wrong on what u were really talking about i oops.

@mikesbaker It's the game developer's fault. They probably included the worst last minute fixes to even include some sort of joystick support. So I would say you just have to deal with it...or get some sort of macro that does the tapping for you...

BF2 had adjustable throttle.

@theteenspirit Try using the guided missles.If you fire them at tanks only do so on laser painted ones otherwise it won't do much damadge.It's basicly the same as a javelin.

It disables the aa with one shot though so if you wan't to be a pain in the ass for the enemy AA guy then it's awesome for that lol

@theteenspirit Sadly you need team mates to plant soflams just like with javelins.The guided missle is basicly an airborn javelin with infinite ammo.

Dice should ad a laser painter to jets though since real jets have them.

you need to make longer runs when you attack tanks... you come in to close and to fast before you start shooting... air radar in 3rd person view lots of the time pops them up like they are spotted so you can spot them in 1st person... if not you will see them on the radar... I make my runs from so far away I am able to reload my rockets and put another few shots to finish a tank in one pass... these short passes like this are good for a already disabled tank like if your first pass did not do it

@hehematn The same key you use to change to heatseekers or guided missiles. Rocket pods don't come at stock, you have to unlock (and select) them.

I Can't kill anyone flying with a jet... It is too complicated using a keyboard. I used to be good flying apaches on bbc2 but this is another story. Is it easier using a joytick?

rocket pods sucks. i always use the machine gun on tanks which takes them out or disables them in one fly by. and the heat seekers for other jets, heli's are too easy.

Press down on your PS3 (I don't know if you have PC or Xbox or a PS3) and then you can look around. Best way to do things is to fly high and wide away from the main battlezone, press down, find a target and then swoop down. :)

to own tanks with rocket pods. u need a little distance and now where the tank is. when ur see it and start shoot with rocket pods. when ur need to relod u switch to the main gun and blast the tank up. they dont jump out of the tanks so fast so u get the kill and points :)

@Arnoud1987000 Remove joystick controls from infantry tab so the stick won't have effect on infantry controls.

And read throught your control settings to find out which button is for changing weapons, shooting etc.

I did get the jet but its so frustrating aiming jets with just the MG because other jets/people tend to ALWAYS lock onto me and own me. @MontagesRhere You need only couple of jet kills to unlock flares and after that you don't ned to worry about missile locks that much. Until you get them,go after enemy aircraft and don't go to too low. You have basically nothing against ground so don't let them get easy and free stinger kills.

And keep using the MG. Heatseekers are almost useless against someone who has unlocked flares so do yourself a favour and don't rely on them.

@MontagesRhere I usually go with the rocket pods, air radar and my trusty flares, I find it the best way to go, as the other weapons are pretty useless, killing tanks with rocket pods can be done in one go, whereas you need to fire multiple times with the missile (or switch rapidly to the machine rifle) to finish the job. The first level is the hardest, but when you've unlocked flares, it's just learning the correct way to fly

i dont know the exactly meaning of 'strafing', but in case u mean the normal minigun: press Y. of course u must have unlocked missiles.

but in case u mean the switching between rockets: press X while u are in spawn menu, then RB two times, A, and there u can switch the jet gadgets.

Guys a quick tip: If the jet you are trying to take down kills his speed and banks hard to the left, accelerate to his right and fly round his tail so he can't see you, and then he's open to another attack run.

@TukaihaHithlec They reload little faster. You can shoot 2 volleys if you slow down and shoot the first volley far away. Even if you fire only 1 volley, you can do more damage than with one guided missile.

So... I use the heat-seeking. I take out enemy jets and helos left and right with them. Would anyone recommend actually switching to rocket pods? They seem like the exact same thing the helos use... which are quite weak against armor. I'd rather take our the helos and jets, but I'd love to be able to take out all of them. :D

A-10 is easily the best jet... It's good for ground support (has two chainguns instead of just 1 on the fighter jets 2 chain gun rip through jets) ( my experience)

And THAT is how a pilot in BF supports the ground troops. Destroy the tanks people. Cats camp for the jets just to fly in circles and do loops while we fight off 2 tanks at a time on the ground. Excellent video. You should be a friggin BF3 pilot trainer or something, dude.
