One of her best songs from one of her best albums!!!! This beautiful and talented woman is the Legendary Queen of Dance!!! In addition, the blending background vocals of Dee Lewis, Mae McKenna and Mike Stock makes this song so excellent!!!! Actually, the extended version is not really rare, as it's been out for a long time. The single EP itself includes the 12" version, the instrumental version (which is sadly only 4 minutes long) and the song "Dinner with Gershwin (which SAW didn't produce).

Damn, this song brings back memories. YEEEARS ago, when my mom and I took a series of Greyhound buses to Wisconsin, I found a mix tape caught between the rearmost seat and the wall of the latrine. Yeah... The memory is that sharp. Among the songs were this (the extended mix, NOT the original), Spice Girls' "Stop,", and "Centerfold" by the J Geils Band. I'm still trying to remember one or two more, but my god that was a great trip. Went to Robot World.

I can't believe that this single was never released in the USA. Another Place and Time is a 100% perfect album from strat to end :) This album must have been squeezed to the maximun with powerful pumping videos and cutting edge coreogrpahy ...What a waste of talent !!!!

Wow have the LP and the 12" Extended vinyl of "THIS TIME" and two copies of the album on cd. Yesterday burned a cd of 20 of her greatest starting with "Lady of the Night" c 1974 to "Melody of Love(Wanna Be Loved)" c 1994-cd only alotted 20 or 21 songs the 21st would've been cut off. This extended remix appear on THE STOCK, AIKEN, WATERMAN GOLD triple cd boxset.

Yeah it's not rare, this was the standard issue 12" mix of the radio edit. This is basically a 'housed up' version of the album version. Now a 12" mix of THAT mix is rare. Pete Hammond did extend the album version and it lies in the PWL vaults somewhere.

Stock Aitken and Waterman SAW did an excellent job with this album. She should seriously think about doing another album with them. I love Dance music but I don't really care about Disco. This is a top ten dance hit! As for Album covers this is in the top 100 hundred album covers,...classic!!!

Whilst I think it's a good song to start off with, the irony is that it's also the quality of her singing that took it a notch above the usual S/A/W fare and somehow made the (admittedly lightweight) lyrics work better. Not sure about this remix; it does the usual 1980s 12" mix thing of going totally OTT with the sampler (not as bad as some mid-80s examples though).

I think that she must be very proud of this song. What an attitude she has. Can she produce a song like this? Can she play the keyboards and guitars? And does she know what it takes to make a good sampler? Can she use a drumm computer? No. Still I like Donna. She has an amazing voice.
