If he lines up his offense on 4th and 30 from his own 10 in the first quarter the other coach cannot be sure that he won't run the play. The cumulative of all this is enormous. He walks onto the field and the other coach shits his pants, which makes him do a worse job. Eating the grass adds to this effect. Genius!.
