Strengthening Tibialis Anterior muscle is very useful for drummers especialy for those who are using fast double bass drumming. So yeah to those who believe that exercising this muscle is waste of time, they are wrong.
i can do 20 to 35 pounds on that i bought it at amazon .the feel of the dard is kind of cheap at least the one that i got .it was about 90$ in the usa
she's wearing the device incorrectly....It's called a "DARD", and if you look at pictures of it being used elsewhere, the bar with black pad near her heels is supposed to straddle the top of her toes, and the bar straddling hers toes goes near her heels.....that way she has constant resistance on the Tibialis Anterior....they way she's wearing it is supplying her with very little resistance
The inventor and patent holder of this dorsiflexion device called the DARD is none other than Bob Gajda. Bob is a world authority on kinesiology, the 1965 Mr. America and Mr. Universe, and today remains super-fit and owns a rehabilitation clinic in Bannockburn, Illinois. Google him for his story. He has invented and patetented several other rehab devices, as well as helped countless pro athletes and world champions recover from surgery, trauma, and a multitude of injuries.
@TheKlaj1992 If you struggle to lift your own foot, just use nothing as a weight and lift your foot over and over til your muscles get stronger. Another thing you can do is lay belly down on your bed with your feet hanging off the edge and pull against the mattress with your feet (what I used to do). There are many things you can do, just be creative.
but seriously, if you're on your feet all day, it totally helps
totally pulled the shin hardcore, I like rolled my ankle and I guess it ripped a tendon in my shin, been doing this for a few weeks and it feels really good now

dynamic axial resistance device, works the dorsi flexors.
Mentioned in the The Poliquin Principles.
It looks like it could be easily made or adapted form some cheap weight lifting extension equipment.

Looks like the part of a bench you use for leg extensions. Don't care for the music by the way.
