I agree with that. I did wonder if it was even checked over before it was printed. Black Library books are really terrible for the spelling and grammar mistakes. Love their books though, and Graham is my favourite
I love McNeill's work and after A Thousand Sons I expected great things but this novel just didn't live up I'm afraid. Loads of errors in the HH storyline, loads of grammar and spelling errors and lots of things that don't make sense to the physics of the 30K universe.
Keep in mind that the Custodian was severely limited due to injuries from previous battles (as explained in the book) hence why he was placed as a jail gaurd.
@DarkDramon yeah but he only had minor injuries to his face and slightly lower reflexes from it, but fully plated he still would have had to much strength and power, and the idea his spear got broken without being able to land a blow is a bit off to me.
its a great book but i do question the outcome of the fight with the world eater and the custodian guard, in not sure it really should have gone the way it did.
@nanahc Agreed, the World Eaters are very tough but the Custodians themselves have been shown to utterly trounce high ranking legion members in seconds. Not to mention the World Eater was utterly unarmed and the Custodian was dressed for battle.
@nanahc Thought I read that. You'd think he'd have seventh - let alone a sixth sense for that kind of thing guarding the Emperor. oh well. Thanks for reply.

The Outcast Dead is amazing, but jeez, it's crammed with loads and loads of spelling and / or grammar mistakes!

Do you have to have a bald head and a beard to write for BL?

@terrymcallister14 Which parts of this book went against the physics of the 30K universe?

@Tseuhadon i know, im all for the world eaters(one of my fav legions) but he still wouldnt have enough to bet an armed custodian.

@nanahc The same way he finished The Chapter's Due, the ending just wasn't as awesome as the rest of the book, check it out to know what i mean

@nanahc Didn't a custodian also get wiped out by a guardsman with a plasma gun or something?
JEKAZOL 1 month ago
@JEKAZOL yeah but that was a plasma gun point blank to the back i think and he wasnt expecting it so thats not quite so bad.

@JEKAZOL yeah you would think so, especially being as the guard was under the control of the thousand son, surely they should have picked up on that.
