  • what they need is something like the SPS tender, w/ the 1/2 mile of LDH

  • Would it be wrong to guess the fire was started by lightning? Guessing based off the coment at the end and upon hearing (or sounded like it) through about the first half of the video..

  • maybe they are not equipt with deck guns and 2.5" lines so you have to use what you have dummies

  • good knock down but you should have pulled a 2 1/2

  • Ok so I know that it is easy to sit here and Monday morning quarterback but I am anyway. Why not use your deck gun and do a blitz attack? The structure is already gone. Much quicker than pulling your 1 1/2. The only reason not would be water supply but listening to the video I hear somone call for a supply line so water should not be an issue. Like I said it's easy to sit here and arm chair this but hell at least you got it put out...good job and stay safe.

  • first of all.. look at the surroundings.... all trees... if they use that deck gun then its just gonna push that fire into those trees.... 2nd water could be an issue.... the location pretty much will not have a hydrant anywhere around....so they have to rely on the 1500 gallon pumpers... which could be gone in 2 minutes... especially if they use that deck gun

  • @kodythepimp01 A deck gun is NOT going to "push" fire into the trees! A straight stream deck gun will penetrate into the fire and cool it. GPM'S PUT OUT FIRE!!! A 1 1/2" line should NEVER be the first line on a fully involved structure. No, 1500 gallons and a deck gun will not put out the fire, but it WILL knock it down and greatly reduce radiant heat.

  • @kodythepimp01 You would be correct about the water supply issue. If you listen close at about 1:20-1:30 you can hear them call for a fill site. However you're incorrect about a deck gun pushing the fire into the trees, it won't.

  • The guy near the fire is the opperator, he knows what he is doing, These guys are proffesionals

  • Wow, No gear at a fire like this one????? What is up with that. As far as the person who is filming asking what the guy's were going to do with the trash line, It is called put water on the fire immediately, Awsome vid though thanks and be safe.

  • What is that guy doing so close to the fire without full PPE? without ANY gear at all?

  • 4:10 Nice lid!!!!
