korean cars always tend to build there cars as if there suppose to be driven with out any connection between the suspension and the road. Korean cars need to improve dynamic stability. korean automakers were always lazy. They indulge themselves into new innovations but then after that, they never improve or show any renovated example, brakes, suspension, facelift/body exterior cosmetic enchancements to attract more potiental consumers etc. They just never go that very extra mile.

I wouldn't want a perfect out of the box car because I will be replacing everything anyway. That was the direction for Hyundai. Why add on all the gems when you'll be adding them yourself anyway? I don't know about you but I rather save money by not buying the factory goodies up front. This car was specifically designed with after market tuning in mind. It was a smart move to keep the costs down.

It can be argued a few of those models earlier than the years I suggested... if your just looking for average reliability... these cars offer best bang for buck. The new ones are on par with Toyota and Honda.

I have test drove this car twice in manual. I have 2 comments, one is that the first and second gear are very rough, you have to slowly release the clutch to avoid upsetting the car. Two, the brakes, its true what the other reviewers out there say about the brakes. There isn't as much first bite as I would have anticipated, despite being "race-proven" brembo brakes. I had to press on the brakes as deep as to align them with the gas pedal to get some decent braking force from 100km/h

Yeah, I've driven the car twice, and I don't know of ANY of the problems he's talking about. The clutch is stiff, but you'll see the exact same stiffness in a Porsche Boxster S. I've driven that car so I'm totally confident in making the comparison. It's a sports car, not a luxury coupe. It's going to be a bit of a harder ride. But his griping about the 5th and 6th gears is RIDICULOUS! Those gears are smooth as butter. 1st and 2nd are the gears with the most roughness.

Actually after driving 3 of these cars, I find the clutch to be very very light. Its a little springier than a Honda Civic clutch, but it is nowhere as stiff and heavy as a Mustang or Z car clutch. Even Infinity has really heavy pedal with longer travel. A soft and light clutch like the one in the Genesis makes it easier to drive in traffic and also on the track to. I dont know what this reviewer in Korea is talking about. Maybe he is used to driving Kia Sephia's all day...lol.

LoL, this is too funny. The subtitle was done by a 5 year old kid, at best. All I can tell from this video is that the Korean reviewer is fair and not as bias as what you get from the subtitle. Whoever did the wonderful translation seems to be hating this car or Korean cars in general. I read and watched many reviews regarding Hyundai Genesis Coup and this car reviewer is not too off from any of them. Of course, this is what I got from listening, not reading the subtitle.

Drove this car last night. It's a MONSTER, make no mistake! I was so blown away by it that I walked back into the dealership, ordered the 3.8 Premium GT Edition (canadian package I was told), and that was that. It's fast as hell, the ride is fantastic (feels as good as a Porsche Boxster, no joke!), the shifter feels like it's at least a Stage 2. Rugged, hard and powerful. I LOVED every second of the test drive. It was enough for me to say "yes." Now I have to WAIT for it. ARGH!

well dude, I've done Cobalt Blue, and I've done bright Red, so this time I went for Interlagos Yellow. It looks great on this car so I thought what the hell? Apparently there are only 3 coming to Canada, and I managed to score the very last one. Next batch comes in 9 months.  Whether they were telling me that to make a sale or not, I don't know, but I phoned Hyundai's head office and they confirmed that there were "very limited quantities of Yellow." Infiniti put a lot more money into research. Hyundai what have you been doing for the past few years? Buying/Copying technology. The problems of Hyundai genesis from this guy(reviewer), they already showed up and known well between genesis coupe's drivers in Korea as far as I know.

In Korea, if some problem comes up, people are working in the brand and related in the companies make bad replies(you can find out easily under my replyright?)
