How did you get to the temple in the first place without the mask? You have to play the New wave bossa nova song as a zora to be able to ride the turtle.

@petrie911 Although it's a long cutscene, It's the easiest mask to get. I guess for speedrun purposes, you could get the Zoras mask and then not use it in the temple if it's faster.

Flame me if you must. But Majora was the adult version of OOT.

It was harder, you were pressed for time, and had to keep moving. Just like life, you can't slow down, time is always against you.

This is by far the Zelda masterpiece. People scoffed at it, due to its difficulty. But all in all it was a big step up from OOT.

@Dedboy i must disagree with you on the difficulty, i beat majoras mask fairly easily when i was around 12, but i guess oot was harder for me cause i was only 7 haha but I much prefer OOT, even though ganon wasnt a very hard final boss, i thought the bongo bongo drums was the hardest boss( the shadow temple)

the one thing that makes majoras mask dungeons ANY better than Ocarina of time dungeons is that you can do them as many times as you want and after you beat them can fight boss as many times as you want.

lol I love how you don't even watch where you're going; I imagine it was tedious having to perform flawlessly in one go in order for this vid to work! I although I have to say, for as... educational as that was, it looks like less fun than beating it the normal way, and since that bomb glitch can essentially get you anywhere, it does kind of take the thrill away from you having "solved" the puzzles without the Zora mask. Fun to watch though.

I know how to get to the Great Bay Temple without the New Wave Bossa Nova. Things you need: Bow, Ice Arrows, Deku Mask, and a bottle of Cheateau Romani for infinite magic. Freeze the water and use Deku Link to hop onto the ice without slipping and do that untill you get to the temple. You can just walk right inside the temple. This way I think the Zora Mask is skippable. You may need a cheat to get the Ice Arrows before the Great Bay Temple.

the great bay temple you see is just a picture, not more. You can't enter it this way, link will just walk through the picture

The only way to enter the temple is the turtle. On the turtle is a loading zone; this loading zone starts the cutscence and loads the great bay temple area ;)

That's the reason, why we will be never able to enter GBT temple without zora mask. The loading first appears after playing new wave bossa nova ;)

Good catch there. Nearly all of my videos start from one of the many savestates I've amassed over the years. All of those savestates were created from the same original file, and since the savestates are now being created from each other, they can all be traced back to that one file. There are a few exceptions when I need to test something that requires not having a particular item, but otherwise, I just turn to my savestate collection.

No it takes about 6 hour if you do the slowing down song. But the temples in this game are bloody hard. I had about 3 mm hours left on the last temple I thought i woudn't make it.

aside from having the song of time, each hour in clock town is about two minutes (I think it was two minutes) or so, so you have 144 minutes before you need to play the song of time. not 3 minutes, that's just stupid. They didn't program the time from day to night to be as short as in Ocarina of Time.

to be more accurate, when you slow down time, each hour takes about 2:16.53, so you have 163:50.4 minutes in one cycle. If you haven't slowed down time, divide those figures by 3.

He releases/drops one of those running bombs after the bomb explodes, while jumping, this causes the previous expolosion to keep him in the air enough to detonate the next one... check the number of running bombs dropping as he keeps air-exploding-somersaulting.

An emulator lets you play video games on a computer, but just about anything you can do on an emulator you can do on console. And yes, I am very much capable of doing this on console, but it's easier to record from an emulator.

It reflects light which you need to use at various points late game... god I hated that temple. It was the one with the big worm thing in the sand, I believe. It's been too long. :(
