At a very young age I remember my mum listening to his music. As a child I could see the effect it would have on her. Now at 37, I too am mesmerized by it. It takes you from great sadness to elation, but always moving. My daughters at the ages of 7 and 11 have learnt the joy and power of music through artists like Paul Williams. His music to me is healing. My girls know that when mummy listens to Paul Williams she is in a place of reflection, just as I knew my mother was 30 years ago.
i actually bought back the album about 2 years ago, it is one of those songs that impressed you but hard too find, very glad that i got it in a 2nd hand record store in taipei..

My cousin and I saw a lttle movie called 'First Love' when we were both in our 20's and VERY impressionable.This was one of the songs included in the movie soundtrack.Like my first love,I have never forgotten it.Thank you for posting it!
I first heard the song with Carol when I was 19. Carol's now married with 2 children and I'm alone, miss her like hell, but love this song like I loved Carol.
