Brilliant. In fact this goes wayyyy beyond brilliant. This young lad is singing from his sou. If it wasn't for these Great African American People we would not of had this Beautiful Music. I want to thank them for this. God Bless all African Americans.
When someone on youtube post that they dislike a talented child I can't help but ask why and whats not to like it sounds kinda sick. Whats the age of this kid between 4 and 6 c'mon America stop the madness.
I Love it ! notice his feet don't touch the floor , what talent ! AND he is play black keys sharps and flats, normally the blues and boogie are mostly C F & G major keys.
How awesome! Man, I wish I could play half as good as that kid! What a shame that talent like this basically languished in obscurity while no talent hacks like Justin Bieber and Jessica Simpson make millions.
Thanks for uploading this! It's my first time hearing him playing and I'm blown away!
Could someone write the lyrics to the first song he's playing? I can't find it anywhere on the internet and english isn't my first language.. but I really want to know the lyrics, I'd be very thankful :)
unfortunately frank chile robinson died at the age of about 50 just forget the details now, he was just fantastic -- a prodygy at such a young age . I love him playing Caldonia
@beverleye . Frank did not die at 50. He made a comeback in the music in 2000. In 2007 he went to England to appear at a concert and I do believe he is still alive
NOTHING compared to the Try-Hard kids nowa day's, they just want fame nowa days shit, that kid is a musical Genius, and you can tell hes playin for fun and because he loves it! NOTHING compared to that Beiber Kid, fuck him, i really do hope he gets raped... shit hell prolly like it.
@soulleskill Oh grow up. You're completely wrong. Bieber can play lots of instruments as well as sing and he's taught himself everything as a child because he enjoyed it, it's not difference. And Bieber has a phenomenal voice. If u see his KidRaul account from when he was before famous, he was singing without accompaniment and was PERFECTLY in tune which most musicians can't even do today. Justin has a lot of talent only people that don't know his story say things like this. He is selftaught.
@sweetbutdaring That is funny.... let me guess: you have one or more posters of Justin on your walls of your bedroom.... you get a hard on when you hear him sing too, right ?
I LOVE this video! This boy was darling! WHERE IS HE NOW? I am the same age as Frankie and first heard boogie woogie on the radio in San Francisco as a 5 year old. I loved it right away! COME BACK TO THE MUSIC SCENE, FRANK, YOU ARE GREAT! Nancy in S.F.
Wikipedia: Robinson continued to tour Europe and America until the mid-1950s when he opted to pursue an academic career. He earned a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan. Remaining in musical obscurity throughout the latter 20th century, he surfaced in the early 2000s, and has made a comeback with the help of the American Music Research Foundation.
@emjaffe Continuing his academic studies, he earned a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan. In the 1960s, he worked for WGPR-TV, and also helped set up small record labels in Detroit and opened a recording studio.[1]
he lives quietly in Detroit where he is a gospel musician at a C.O.G.I.C. church. He also is a Ph.D in Psychology and he has paticipated in a boogie woogie event held every year in Detroit. He did a set called " That was then....This is now" with his church choir. He is quite well although, he says he really didn't have a childhood as we would know it."
@kirkwoodie Hi kirkwoodie - Just saw your comment today, thank you very much. I love boogie woogie! Can't get enough of it. Wouldn't it be great if Sugar Chile did a special on TV? Too much to hope for, I guess. What a TALENT! You GO, Frankie!
This little boy is just darling! WHERE IS HE NOW? I LOVE BOOGIE WOOGIE! I wa born the same year as Frankie - 1938 - and I KNOW I heard his boogie on the radio! I loved Boogie Woogie from the start. I eventually learned to play Bumble Boogie on the piano. I took lessons from age 7 to 15. I still have my antique piano - it is beautiful. WHERE ARE YOU FRANK? PLEASE COME BACK TO THE MUSIC WORLD. I WANT MORE BOOGIE! Nancy from San Francisco
You can tell who plays well....they smile...its not forced on them,...they really do want to play and that reflects a lot from their face. Like Junior here...great job Frank! lol I wish Frank Robinson would do a special with pbs on his life and play some of that old stuff, like a living legacy for the rest of time....
Absolutely, amazing.

He didn't earn a Ph.D. nor did he attend the U. of Michigan. He graduated from Olivet College here in Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology around 1960.
