  • my bloodfins are sticking closer to the surface is there any specific reason as to why?

  • You should just get more. Lots of schooling fish, when kept in smaller numbers will be more nippy, and sometimes pick on others. When you have more, they don't stress one out too bad because there are others to play with as well.

  • Your school of bloodfins look amazing! I was wondering is it possible that they chase each other around. I just got three a few days ago and one specifically seems to randomly spazz out and chase the other two around. Will the chasing keep on happening or will he eventually stop?

  • thats priceless

  • those grey fish up the top seem to really school well, what sort of fish are those??

  • @soudenm84 those are the bloodfin tetras. Orange are Serpae tetras, there's 2 angels in there as well as some black phantom tetras.

  • thats a bad ass set up for sure what substrate did you use and what are the tall plants they look awesome.

  • @PeanutButter891 Pool filter sand is the substrate. The wood and the 6500k bulb give it that yellowish look. The taller plants are moneywort

  • Your layout looks awesome. Is there any special tools that you used to design this?

  • @XXGOLDENXXDRAGONXX My hands. Just play around with different things and see what you like.

  • very nice

  • love the music......cult

  • can they eat a baby mouse ??

  • I have four bloodfin tetras, and they are freaking psychopaths! No one takes me seriously when I tell them, but they killed my plecostumus AND disabled both of my dwarf gouramis! I bought a rainbow shark to defend my beloved bamboo shrimp from being next, and the killing stopped. Can anyone explain this? (P.S. I actually had five, but one died a few days after I returned the disabled gouramis, THEN I bought the pleco, THEN the shark)

  • @godofimagination stinks for u

  • @godofimagination R U SURE THEY WERE BLOOD FIN TETRAS becuase people put different fish names on fish

  • @TheAquariumKid Yes I'm sure, the problem is behind me now, though. I did a regular water change (1/3) and they died. Weird.

  • @godofimagination i had 2 blood fins for like 5 months and just bought 5 and they do good with my angels other tetras and corys

  • sweet!

  • i like your aquarium!

  • what kind of angel fish are those? i like em!

  • 1 of the 6 I have is the object of the bullying amongst themselves, his fins are nicked and he's pale. They love to beat up on each other.

  • Great video! I sat there thinking, "I don't see any Bloodfin's..........Oh WOW!" lol

I think this shows how much the Bloodfin Tetra appreciate a longer tank!

  • They're neon cousins would be jealous

  • Nice set up!! I just got Blood fin tetras and i have 8 in a 20 gallon tank they're really active!!

  • sweet setup i hope the plants bush up nicely and your angel fish is the same size as mines atm but in a year they will get huge!!!

    good luck :)

  • They're so comical! lol! I've been wanting a school for a while.

VERY beautiful serpae tetra, too! Makes me miss the ones I had years ago. :( And I love what you've done with the substrate, everyone seems to get a kick out of it. Nicely done!
