Yes, our great (?) melbourne weather gives us lots of reasons to sit indoors behind our kits refining our genius (!) or mediocrity (?) , whatever the case!! Hahaha!
Actually the drummer from The Song Remains The Same is a friend of mine and has a champagne sparkle 90's Bonham kit with that authentic sound of thunder.
He also plays in a 60/70/80s rock covers band and nails that stuff incredibly well too. Truly a Pleasure!!!!
@69andronicus haha! I've heard about Melbourne's 4 seasons in one day weather!! Wow you are friends with him, that doesn't surprise me!! Thats the thing I love about drummers they are all friends & have support for one another, no ego's! I remember talking to him after a blinding show & the solo was jaw dropping, yet he still had the stamina hang back & talk with everyone, real cool guy! By the way what year is your beautiful green sparkle? The sound matches the playing!
Great playing!! There's just something about musicians from Melbourne, Australia. I remember seeing a Zep tribute a few years ago called The Song Remains The Same that blew me to pieces, the drummer especially just nailed it!! Have you seen or heard of them? Thanks for posting, inspiring stuff!!
Yes I had the early 1973 Live version of I Cant Quit You Babe in my head while I was playing this. Its on a few Live shows from Europe around Mar/Apr '73.
I like to call the Track; Since Ive been Quitting You babe!!!'
Awesome job dude. One of the best jobs I've seen of "channeling" Bonham here on you tube. You've definitely got his feel and many of his trademark grooves and fills down! KIt sounds great outside. Have to agree..I can't believe how many people just walked by?
It´s not true.As we can see, John Bonham, Joe Jones and Buddy Rich are definitely dead!!

This video perfectly addresses the lack of appreciation for classic drummers. True skill being shown but completely ignored.

Hey. I want to upgrade kits to this kit. I love this kit, and want to buy it. A few questions: Where can I buy one? How much do they run?
